The last comment was interesting. I too was a patient of this doctor earlier in the decade. At the time, she was interested, professional, compassionate and had a good sense of humour. Several years later I visited her again and she was completely different, and not in any way for the better: cold, impatient, dismissive and utterly unsympathetic. What caused this change is impossible to say, but she is not a doctor I would visit again. Given the way she behaves, I'm surprised she even has patients. I guess that's what happens when the province is so short of doctors. If that tide turns I would say she'll have to change her behavior or find her patients scrambling to find someone better.

Dr. Bacalso or Nacua is a beautiful and caring doctor 7 years ago. I don't know why her attitude towards patients changed. When you enter her clinic, a rude old Filipina lady receptionist Flora will test your patience. The first time I met Flora, she was very nice and always smiling, she too like Dr Bacalso have changed. 99.9% of Filipino I know is beautiful inside out. So I'm calling to all patients of Dr. Bacalso or Nacua to let them know how bad they deal with their patients. But I urge you to deal with them compassionately, because they too are human like us who needs caring and understanding. Dr Bacalso I believe that you and Flora still care for your patients, just that something trouble both of you? Cast your burden to GOD and He will lift you up. God Bless. --Concerned patient SCS.

After reading all the comments on here, I can't help but wonder why this doctor is still in business? I completely agree with all the negative comments everyone had to say. Dr. Bacalso's receptionist has a very poor attitude. Whenever I talked to her in person at the clinic or on the phone she always sounded like she was arguing with me. I don't know how she sleeps at night treating people terribly the whole day. I actually ended up having a real argument with her because she was being specially unhelpful when I was on the phone trying to schedule an appointment. I have since never come back. Pity since it's so hard to find family doctors these days who are still accepting patients. Even my parents who deal with her clinic are unhappy, and yet they are still with her because she's Filipino and so are we. Funny that out of all the doctors I've went to of all different races, Caucasian, Indian, Chinese, she is the worst. Such a shame to Filipinos everywhere.

I have nothing good to say about this doctor. The worst part is, she will deal with single complaint at a time. I am almost tempted to say, swipe my health card again! Good example is if you visit to renew prescription then she will not treat any more complain, she would say to look at it the next time! A what a rude doctor! Where is the care??????

I can list many things I HATED about this doctor. I find her ill-tempered, cold, rude and mean. I hate how she talks down on patients. In fact, I don't ever remember her being kind to my family at all. All I heard from her was critism from the first day I walked into her office as a child to the last time I swore to never come back. To the last person who submitted a rating, I feel your pain. She doesn't insert the needle, she throws it like a dart! I really do not like this doctor.

I find her abrupt, uncaring approach and unfriendly demeanor not conducive to helping patients. She quickly loses her temper when asked to either explain her assessment or accommodate a request. Just recently, I went to her for a TB skin test. She asked me to take a seat, roll up my sleeves as she unwrapped the packaged needle, which I did not see her do - so, I was naturally concerned and uncomfortable. I asked her to unwrap another needle in front of me, to which she responded, "I don't reuse needles." I explained to her my discomfort and trusted she would put her patient's interest before her ego. But to my surprise, she refused, grabbed my arm, and inserted the needle into my forearm. I left her office deeply concerned, in part, because of how she reacted and what she did. Patient comfort and care ought to be a primary focus during all physician-patient interaction, but in my experience with Dr. Bacalso this has never been the case.
