Dr. Carnett is quite sexist and unprofessional. He seems to think that women belong to men. He told my husband that he should make me more obedient and "show her who the boss is". I suggest find a more professional doctor. I am also non-white and Muslim, so perhaps he thought it gave him more permission to put me down. There must be a way to complain to the medical board.

I have been seeing Dr Carnett since he first came to Sierra Vista, I think he is an excellent doctor very knowledgeable and caring. He took care of my mom until she passed away and he was always so kind and patient with her. I like the fact that he is a DO and will look at alternative cures as opposed to a prescription if he feels there is one. He is a nice person and has a very nice family .

Every appointment has been kept on time, Dr. is very knowledgeable and supportive to patients who try to help themselves. Is willing to look outside of the pharmacy fix, promoting good food and healthy lifestyle over drugs. Is willing to consider personal opinion vs the popular medical community opinion.

I haven't even been able to meet Dr. Carnett yet because I have only been able to see the NP Laura (nurse practitioner) so far, but I can say if he speaks and discriminates the way his NP does I don't want to ever meet him or go back. I am a medical marijuana patient who is on such for chronic pain, kidney trouble and menstrual trouble. Well I recently went into this office to try and get my prescriptions refilled, as I just moved to Sierra Vista from another state, but while there was told no on getting any medications at all. The exact words of this NP were, "I refuse to prescribe any medications to someone who smokes marijuana". Look I can see if you have some personal issue with it but I use it as a medicine and brought her hundreds of papers from doctors’ visits, ER trips and urgent care trips to prove my medical conditions. I didn’t just walk in asking for a bunch of pain pills with no medical proof as to why I need them. What’s even worse, I only asked for enough nausea and pain medicine to get my through my upcoming menstrual cycle until I could get to a gynecologist and gastroenterologist, so that would have been a grand total of 2-3 pain pills and maybe 5 nausea pills. Now since I have been refused medication I have to worry about trying not to end up back in ER or urgent care this weekend when my menstrual cycle starts and initiates my kidney problem like it does every month for years now. Discrimination……

I wouldn t know how Dr. Carnett is as a physician because his receptionist, also his wife decided early on that she didn t think I was suited for his office. I have never dealt with such rude and unprofessional health care professionals. I had come into the office one time before this to fill out patient paperwork and schedule an appointment and just because my paperwork said that I had been on prescribed klonopin, she turned me away. I don t know if Dr. Carnett is aware that his wife is making his practice look completely rude and unprofessional, but hopefully he will now. I was going to say something to him today at my appointment but Mrs. Carnett called once again to say that they did not want me in this office which is unfortunate because I have shingles which is a very painful virus and can cause permanent nerve damage if not treated immediately. So, thank you Dr. Carnett for your dedication to your patients.

My opinion of Dr. Carnett and staff is very positive having used him as my primary care physician for the past seven years. He also monitors my PT/INR for warfarin (blood thinner) and the results and recommendations are always on time. Also, he does not charge me or medicare for this service. Very easy to talk to, but most important he LISTENS to you and never looks at the clock.

Great Doctor presence. You will never feel rushed or not listened too. All my friends go to Dr. Carnett and have no complaints. Staff is fantastic, if Dr. Carnett is unavailable Mr. Patton is more than qualified to help.
