Most of the staff are friendly, but there is nothing special here which makes me want to seek out care from this facility. Dr. Knapp himself is educated on common symptoms and ailments, and can refer patients to a wide choice of specialists, but he is quick to offer pills and drugs. I suffer(ed) from an overactive bladder, and at the time (before I was properly diagnosed), I was tested for a UTI. Dr. Knapp said it looked like maybe, kind of, sort of, there was a hint of my possibly having an infection, perhaps, he couldn't be sure -- so of course, he prescribed antibiotics right away. Which, because it wasn't an infection as I later found out, obviously did nothing to help. Not recommended.

His staff is rude and dishonest, they do not log what the Dr. has in his record but what they want. I believe it mostly comes from one nurse who appears to have difficulty with objectivity. She does not appear to chart what the Dr. decided but what she wants to for personal reasons. The staff there otherwise is friendly and kind. The Dr. is a good Doctor and I believe a very busy one.

My last choice in doctors but in SV ,your not going to get a thousand good options, doesn't do any work to track down your problem anything outside your standard cold, flu , ect your going to a spealist , almost killed me adding meds to control my blood pressure when I needed a valve repair his choice of specialist is less than stellar. He hand writes medical records they are written so poorly other doctors can't read them huge problem when he's sending you out for everything. His staff is lazy, rude and unprofessional to say the least. Prepare to wait 3-10 days at a minimum for a med refill, and the line of people at his office mad is always long.

He has a pleasant bedside manner and is on time. He refers to a lot of specialists and doesn't work up a lot of problems himself. He also doesn't do any procedures aside from freezing warts with liquid nitrogen spray. I wouldn't recommend him based on my experience with him.

Dr.knapp staff was helpful I'm not use to the medical system in this state never had a doctor that requires me to make my own appointments with speicalists but they were super helpful in getting all records from others doctors so we did not have to repeat tests, he did write all my pain management and sleeping meds without question and without any drug test or waivers on my first appointment I found him helpful and he answered all my questions seeing how most doctors in Sierra Vista will not treat a migraine patient period I think he's reasonable. I did have an issue with his intern failing to call all my medication in but there were many scripts so that's not major they did fix the problem immediately.

You have to get to know Dr. Knapp and realize that we are having to take the burden for those who have abused pain medications. I currently suffer with this same issue. The doctor has to protect himself; there are doctors all over the country trafficking drugs illegally and are being convicted. This past year when I was in the hospital, 10 doctors in Tucson lost their license! Don't blame Dr. Knapp but the medical field in general and the Federal Government. He is forced to implement measures to protect his career/license...would you want to lose your career for some idiot..I think not. As far as Dr. Knapp's staff is concerned--he hired a Business Manager like all organizations/coporations to manage admin & accounting affairs FOR HIM. Dr. Knapp has no involvement with training his staff. It is his idiot business manager that sets the stage for employee motivation and efficiency. Dr. Knapp has to sign every prescription...order your meds a week or two beforehand and follow-up!

The doctor seems a bit paranoid about pain meds. As a new patient, i had to sign something saying that the office could screen me for drugs. He also has a giant sign in front of his office stating that he will not prescribe medical marijuina. I refuse to go back to him after he wouldnt sign for me to get a handicap placard. I weigh over 400 pounds and have to stop and rest before walking 200 feet. I was told..."you have to walk slower". Idiots....

Dr. Knapp and his staff are the worst I have come across yet. He treats people that are on pain meds. But, if you get pain meds from that office, you should be prepared to be treated like a criminal. They drug test before they give you your prescription. They purposely make sure that you can't get your refill until you have been out of meds for 1 to 2 days. This is wrong and something needs to be done about it. This would not be tolerated if this was heart medication and going without pain meds is just as bad if not worse!! I wish I knew the proper way to report this so that the right people are notified.

Always had to wait and don't feel like he listened to me. I didn't fit with his idea of what problems I should have for my age.
