My family credits Dr. Hirsch with saving my Mom's life, and enabling full recovery, after valve replacement surgery complications. Keep up the good work and keep teaching the other doctors there how to be the best in their field!

Like, other Drs at the CVICU at the QE11 he was lacking in the communication department and made very bad decisions in my family members care...which resulted in their death. I would not recommend him.

Many thanks to Dr. Hirsh!! Very caring and understanding. Can sit back and talk with family members making them feel very comfortable and not afraid to ask questions. My Mom had heart surgery on April 3, 2010 and we were very grateful to Dr. Hirsh as he was the only cardiologist on that weekend. Again, many thanks!!

Dr. Hirsh is a wonderful doctor to have if you ever have to have heart surgery. He is extremely knowledgeable and isn't hesitant on taking on the more difficult cases. He takes time with his patients (and family) and explains things very clearly. I, as a spouse of his patient, am so glad we waited to get in to see Dr. Hirsh. I seen him interact with other doctors, nurses, staff and patients and his repore is that of a friend. If I ever need heart surgery, this is the doctor I would ask for. We are so fortunate to have Dr. Hirsh in our province! A great big thumbs up for Dr. Hirsh!

Well normally I would be pissed at a Dr who is never on time for an appointment, and who has a snotty admin assistant, BUT, after meeting Dr. Gregory Hirsch I experienced him to be a very concerned, caring individual who is late for appointments because he spends much time following up with his patients just out of surgery. Until indicators point to no complications he eases off. He is a very talented Surgeon who is not afraid to suffer reduced statistics by taking the high risk cases. In fact I later discovered that he and Dr Sullivan take 99% of all cases diagnosed as high risk at QEII's Heart Health Centre. Dr. Sullivan has (or is) retiring so Dr. Gregory Hirsch is now the Department Head at a young age, based on merit and job performance. If you get referred to him you'll see what I mean once you meet him for your first appointment. Don't arrive too early, or expect to wait, but after that it will be a reassuring experience I'm sure.

Dr. Hirsh saved my life. I owe him Big Time!!. He is a brilliant surgeon and to be admired for sacrificing U.S income to work here in N.S. He is a real credit to his profession.
