I can't rate because I've never seen this doctor, but to the writer of March 31/2016; where your files are concerned, I'm sure they are not given to the patient, but charging a fee for them to be sent to another doctor is quite the norm. Those fees can vary from doctor to doctor, but I would think the usual fee would be $25.00-$30.00.

Well, you will get more care and concern from Googling Mayo Clinic than from either doctor. Save your frustration and go elsewhere. In fact, run!

not surprised to see all the negative comments, comments theat refer to these doctors only in it for the money. I have been ousted as a patient for missed appointment (more accurately non payment of missed appointment) I suffer from depression and work on call flying all over the world at last minute. I have had a discussion with Ian and he was not symapthedic and refused to wave the charge. Now this is the good part. The gov't pays these two by the patient by the year. same amount for 10 visits or 1 or none or 5 missed. Now that I'm no longer a patient I requested my files, guess what.. yup there is a fee for that. .. Guess it's time to get a lawyer, because it's unethical.

I was just in there office and oh my god. Ian Young is a TERRIBLE doctor. He refused to help me in the slightest, very rude and sarcastic. Not to mention I waited over 30 minutes to hear my family doctor talk down to me. I left the office in tears and they were still being super rude and mean. Not to mention I'm 3 months pregnant and just wanted a referral for a obstretian and kept saying no to me. Absolutely awful here I wouldn't recommend this doctor at all! Completly heartless lack of empathy and just all around a rude old crusty man.

The worst family physician I have ever had. I hate going and my last appointment did not disappoint as he was rude and arrogant. I left feeling small and embarassed. No one should ever feel that way leaving their family physician.

Ian and Dana should both be ashamed of their behavior towards clients. Both are incompetent, arrogant, and not only lack respect for the families they're ethically obligated to help, but also their fellow physicians. Major fail to both of you in not upholding the Hippocratic Oath. A reminder is needed, pay specific attention to, "I will remember that I remain a member of society, with special obligations to all my fellow human beings, those sound of mind and body as well as the infirm". A full review is also necessary and for the sake of your current patients, I hope this provides you with some much needed humility.

"I swear to fulfill, to the best of my ability and judgment, this covenant:
I will respect the hard-won scientific gains of those physicians in whose steps I walk, and gladly share such knowledge as is mine with those who are to follow.
I will apply, for the benefit of the sick, all measures which are required, avoiding those twin traps of overtreatment and therapeutic nihilism.
I will remember that there is art to medicine as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy, and understanding may outweigh the surgeon's knife or the chemist's drug.
I will not be ashamed to say "I know not," nor will I fail to call in my colleagues when the skills of another are needed for a patient's recovery.
I will respect the privacy of my patients, for their problems are not disclosed to me that the world may know. Most especially must I tread with care in matters of life and death. If it is given me to save a life, all thanks. But it may also be within my power to take a life; this awesome responsibility must be faced with great humbleness and awareness of my own frailty. Above all, I must not play at God.
I will remember that I do not treat a fever chart, a cancerous growth, but a sick human being, whose illness may affect the person's family and economic stability. My responsibility includes these related problems, if I am to care adequately for the sick.
I will prevent disease whenever I can, for prevention is preferable to cure.
I will remember that I remain a member of society, with special obligations to all my fellow human beings, those sound of mind and body as well as the infirm.
If I do not violate this oath, may I enjoy life and art, respected while I live and remembered with affection thereafter. May I always act so as to preserve the finest traditions of my calling and may I long experience the joy of healing those who seek my help".

I would not reccommend this doctor or his wife. They are only interested in swiping your health card, not helping people. Ridiculous wait times, front desk staff is rude, and both doctors are incompetent. They get upset if you go to emergency and not their Saturday walk-in. Personally think both should look at new professions.
