My advice is do NOT make an appointment with this "so-called dr". After waiting 25 minutes, no eye contact, no hand shake, no introduction, I was just another number and $$ in his pocket. He didn't seem to give a flying #?&% about what I had to say regarding my knee injury. He repeated almost everything my family doctor has told me in the past. Brought up my x-rays and focused on an ACL repair I had done in 1995. Hello its now 2023!! Hence a new knee injury. Zero bedside manner and personality. It seemed like an effort to exam my knee like I was interrupting his life. O snap you, had to get up from behind your desk, put on gloves and walk over to me. I explained to him that I know my body and there is more happening than what you are telling me and I would like an MRI even if I have to pay for it myself. His response, you don't need an MRI. And you don't need an knee replacement as you are
not bone on bone yet. I wonder how many times he has used that line!! His attitude really needs an adjustment. Hmmm, maybe time to retire. Of course ALL he did was recommend a topical cream, physio and a follow up call in a few weeks. My knee has only gotten worse since the physio. I am being treated for something that NO one knows what the "ROOT CAUSE" is with my injury. I've since stopped physio. Well guess who has arranged their OWN MRI, yip ME!! I will find out exactly what is wrong with my knee by seeing a PROFESSIONAL that knows what they are talking about. Words of advice, do your research. I wish I did prior to booking an appointment with him.

Saw this arrogant doctor twice and that was two times too many. Asked my doctor for a referral so another specialist.
This doctor is arrogant, conceited and has zero bedside manner. Do yourself a favour and find any other ortho!

My time with Dr. Montelone, was excellent. He listened to everything I was saying about my bad knee. Asked me a series of questions before offering his advice. I’m now on the list for a knee replacement. To help me deal with the pain before leaving for a trip south I requested a cortisone injection. The Doctor handled this in a timely fashion after offering the pros and cons with cortisone before surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Montelone, and look forward to a knee replacement soon after my trip to Mexico.

I came to him with a sports injury, I know exactly when and how I injured it. I had 2 xrays and MRI confirming it, which he claimed to have seen. He said there was nothing he could do but sell me expensive pain meds and treatments. He encouraged me to do activities that other med people confirmed would aggravate the condition. He said my knee damage was age related and so severe, I would always suffer pain, especially when colder weather arrived. All of his diagnosis and suggested activities, knee brace etc, were contrary to every other med personal I had seen before and since. I have now received proper treatment from another sports injury physio and am pain free. Do not see Dr Monteleone.

After numerous exams and a no imaging of the lump above the knee it was found to be cancer. Saw a orthopaedic specialist and due to the delay in diagnosis 4 surgeries later 3 due to reoccurrence it seems to be okay. We are free to choose who we see but I certainly won’t be seeing this doctor.

I was referred to Monteleone Oct 3/20 for hurt and swelled knee after family dr. couldn’t do anymore for me. Finally after waiting for phone call I got to see him Dec.11/20. By Dec.22 he decided I needed a cortisone shot but didn’t know what was wrong with my knee. Finally 1 1/2 months later he managed to fit me in and whole process took approximately 3 minutes. I had not had more than 2 to 3 hrs sleep in 8 months and had taken 2 bad falls as my leg would give out from pain. (Now have major shoulder injury) I was supposed to get a follow up phone call to see if the cortisone was helping on March 16/21. Phone rings 2times and when I answered no one was on line. Got his number and phoned back and only got recording. 3hrs later his receptionist called back to say it would be another week before he could fit me in for a phone call. Call won’t take 5 minutes. I am 71 and have never met a dr with so little regard for a patient. My livestock got much better treatment than this so called specialist gave me. Worst experience in my life and now what? NDP shutdown private clinics and China Virus has close border so no options . I am very disgusted.
