Impatient and upset when asked questions. He is very nice when you do not have concerns, which is likely why there are not more negative reviews.
He rushed labor by breaking my water and then the baby came so fast I tore badly. He said it was superficial tearing but admitted later it was deeper than he let on.
Overall, I did not feel he had my best interest in mind. I hope this help.

I have been with Dr. Tashman since I was put on "the pill" by my mother (who had 30 years as a registered nurse) the very day I started menstrating at the age of 13, I am 41 now. I am biased to his style of care which I would define as "old-fashion geniune care/empathy for each patient", though at this point I have known him for such a long period of time that I trust him as a true friend and with my life. I have

I chose Dr. Tashman after our IVF nurse recommended to us, I could not be happier with our final decision. Dr. Tashman is very clear with "how the process will take place". We left the office feeling totally in good hands! I love the fact the he is *solo-practitioner, giving us the opportunity to really develop a honest and safe patient-doctor’s relationship. He totally cares for one -as patient- and the baby. Very easy, he loves to explain everything (respectfully) step by step to make sure "you are on board” and gives you relieve in all senses. He is very thoughtful, warm and caring doctor. Great -bedside manner. Wait time was less than 30min. New patient documents are minimum and easy.

All this reviews say he is so kind, but I found him to be rushed and gets mad in more than one occasion. I don't know if we are seeing the same doctor because with me he is super sweet until I question a decision or ask him something. Then he gets angry. I was hoping I had just caught him at a bad day so I stuck it out but I am now looking elsewhere. I am late in my pregnancy so I hope I'll be able to find someone that will take me on. If he is like this now who knows how he will be during the main event and I don't like to be bullied. So sad.

I went to Dr. Tashman for my pregnancy as it was my first based on online reviews, and I had never found an OBGYN that I had seen previously. Dr. Tashman was excellent throughout the process. As has been said here before, the office is "old school" - Dr. Tashman does his own blood draws and there isn't a ton of fancy stuff around the office. However, the office is a well oiled machine, and in my 9 months of pregnancy, I don't think I ever waited more than 5 minutes for any appointment, and always was able to schedule my appointments with ease. Jenny was very friendly (not often seen these days with front office staff).

I had an uncomplicated pregnancy (and I was fairly relaxed throughout my pregnancy despite it being my first), but Dr. Tashman took the time to explain things to me. When I was in labor, despite concerns about size or ability to get the baby out, he didn't jump directly to the option of having a csection. He did stay for the entire active pushing phase (which I didn't expect), and it was good to know everything was moving along. Overall, he was very good, and I would definitely go back to him.

One thing to keep in mind is he is a solo practitioner. The benefit is that you develop a more consistent relationship with the doctor who is going to deliver your baby, but downside is that there is a small chance that he may be unavailable. Therefore, you are assuming the risk that at certain times of the year, he may be unavailable . I was due in late August, and I knew this was a possibility from the beginning. However, I thought the risk was worth it for a doctor that had excellent experience and bedside manner as Dr. Tashman did. In the end, it didn't matter, but it was a factor that played into my initial decision. However, as I said, if I have another baby, I will be going to Dr. Tashman.

I chose Dr. Tashman as my OB for my recent pregnancy based on excellent reviews and a personal recommendation, and I could not have been happier with my choice. Dr. Tashman is a solo practitioner, which allowed me to really develop a relationship with him as my caregiver, rather than cycling trough multiple MDs in a practice. It’s a rarity to find a doctor who will sit down to talk to you and really understands a patient’s perspective, but Dr. Tashman demonstrated time and again that he does just that. Pregnancy brought out neuroses and fears I didn’t know that I had. Dr. Tashman showed great patience and was able to anticipate and address my concerns. He was thoughtful enough to take it upon himself to call me and check in when he knew I was struggling with decisions and made himself available to answer any questions that I had. His office manager is excellent. She is always friendly and made it very easy to schedule appointments. I never had any issues getting an appointment and was never kept waiting before my appointments. I never encountered any issues with billing (and this is huge as billing mistakes are common in doctors’ offices and can create a heavy amount of inconvenience and stress). I highly recommend Dr. Tashman.

I just went to see Dr. Tashman for the first time. He is the most thoughtful, kind, compassionate, warm, and caring doctor I have ever seen. He put me at ease and helped me feel completely comfortable. He draws blood himself, and I have never had an easier blood draw. It didn't hurt at all. I wish I had found him before I already had my twins. He is a gem. I highly recommend him to any woman. Before the exam, he asked me if I preferred to have another person in the room, when he is doing the annual exam. I have never had a doctor respectful enough to ask what I preferred. He is one of a kind and absolutely the best!!!

Dr. Tashman has been my OBGYN since I was 18 years old; now I am in my mid-40's. I moved away in my early twenties to another state, and returned to him when I moved back to Virginia. I absolutely trust in his knowledge, frankness, kindness, and ability to see me through it all. Let's face it...OBGYN's are much more than a general practice doctor in a woman's life. I highly recommend Dr. Tashman.

Dr. Tashman came highly recommended by the ladies at Dr. Sobhani' office and so I of course gave him a try. I initially thought he was a fantastic until the birth control he placed me on to alleviate my ovarian cysts gave me a freakishly weird side effect. My left breast has grown an entire 1/2 cup size larger than my right and it hurts, like I can't touch it want to scream hurt. I called Dr Tashman ok Thursday and l left a message with his receptionist. He called me back the following day and instead of asking me if I was okay and what my issue was he very rudely told me that my phone was breaking up and he didn't have time to sit on the phone with me all day. All he kept repeating "well what do you want." What I want is for you to tell me if what I'm experiencing is normal and whether I should stop my pack with a week of pills left. Did I even get an answer...NO. He yelled at me and then hung up. This phone call was enough for me never to go back. I'm sorry that I moved to North Carolina just days ago for school and my cell phone is the only form of communication I have at the moment. It does not excuse his attitude over the phone. I'm appalled by his behavior to say the least. I CAN and WILL find another doctor to help me with my issue.

I highly recommend Dr. Tashman. If you're looking for an "old school" doctor who won't push C-sections or inductions just to fit the doc's schedule, then he's for you. B/c my husband was only going to be home from deployment for the birth, I did end up getting induced (after 40 wks), though Dr. T said he’s usually "more patient & likes to wait it out." I appreciated his understanding of my unique situation, tho. I didn't dilate as anticipated but instead of jumping to a C-Sec, Dr. T said he's "not a quitter" and tried multiple tricks of the trade to get dilation going- including laboring on my side, etc. He did not rush things & even planned to spend the night at the hospital - after staying there all day for me! After a long day, I delivered a 8lb, 5oz healthy baby girl - with NO tearing whatsoever. I’m SURE this wouldn't have happened with another doctor. I'm hoping my hub's next military assignment brings us back to Northern VA just so I can have my next child with Dr. Tashman.
