Dr Osborne saved my life and I have nothing but the utmost respect and gratitude for him. He is straight forward to the point and doesn’t hesitate. I owe him so much. He has been my oncologist for almost 11 yrs and I truly believe had it not been for him I would not be here today

Sad to read so many negative comments. Here is my story...

This week marks my 35th anniversary of 2 surgeries I had (within 48 hours) with Dr. Osborne, which spurred me to search his name to see if he's still around and came across this.
I had a rare form of cancer (vulvar), and he was the best Dr. for the job. As most of you know, it's one of the worst times in your life and fortunately I had no issues whatsoever with Dr. Osborne. He was knowledgeable (especially for a cancer so rare) and patiently answered all my questions. *Note there was no internet back then, so I didn't show up at his office armed with online information. I have a friend who's been an anesthesiologist for years and said it's really annoying when someone contradicts her expertise because they read this or that on Google. Could that be the case with some of you?
Bottom Line: I couldn't care if a Dr. has the bedside manner of a rock, it's the knowledge that matters most to me. I also have the utmost of respect for those in the medical field who've spent years learning what they need to, to help us.
I've praised this man for 35 years, and will continue to do so, because he saved my life!

Please do read the comments below. I had a horrible experience with Dr Osborne. If you have been diagnosed with cancer get a second opinion from PMH and go there for care - Drs were more compassionate and have real empathy, no God complex and the best care at PMH. Don't waste your life with Dr Osborne or any of his team members - just the worst care I have ever gotten. You deserve the best care and always ask for second opinions.

Is he is the most compassionate Dr? Not at ALL!!! But he gave my Mother 5 1/2 extra years of life. And after she passed he actually took the time to speak with me and answer my questions. I can honestly say, I did not like him while she was alive, but after she passed I gained a whole new respect for him. Put yourself in his shoes, having to tell people and their families that they are dying. Having to open someone up and save their lives. I'm sorry, but he is but a mere mortal and like all of us has flaws.

Thank you Dr. Osbourne for giving me 5 extra years with my Mother. Thank you for helping all the people you help, even if they are thankless.

Basically blame Doctor Osborne for my mother's death recently.
For over 2 years he refused to do a complete and thorough examination on her.
I phoned his office and begged his staff that she is not doing well, he agreed to see her, however the day before her visit they cancel her in person visit and again do a virtual meeting.
I rushed her to Sunnybrook emergency room to get examined and she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.
I phoned him during that day and promised to see her, however he did not show up and Sunnybrook released her.
A week later he finally agreed to see her and assured us that chemotherapy should prevent the cancer spreading.
He set up an appointment for the following Friday for her first treatment.
Few days later I rushed my mother to the hospital and died a few days later On Friday Dr Osborne's office phoned me and told me my mother did not show up for chemotherapy.
I told them how can you start treatments when she had days to live., and it's too late she passed away.
I have never written a comment in my entire life, but due to his incompetence, my mother's life was shorten.
He never return his calls, delays his appointments and did not check her properly for nearly 3 years.
Please avoid this doctor, I am still shocked he has his license.

I am alive today because of Dr. Osborne and his staff. I believe that with absolute certainty. I trusted him with my life and I would do so again. His experience speaks for itself. If you want someone who will be honest and direct with you during one of the most scary and complicated points in your life - I would recommend him.

Disrespectful to patients! Has God complex! Very arrogant, not amenable to new medicines, techniques and therapies.

Terrible!! The worth doctor you can even imagine. I was at his office on 2008 with pain in my abdomen. Since he saw me, he said you need to go on a Chimo treatment and you will die in two months!! I said why to do treatment if I am going to die in two months and make my husband and family life miserable. Then he said you have to sign a document to the hospital that you are refusing to do. I signed the papers… but the paper says that I am refusing to follow his instructions and not saying why…. I was in real pain and high temperature that I did not write anything except signing.
I went to another Doctor and I never need to do the Chimo treatment and I am alive and kicking. LOL 😂

Just the worst- poor patient care, doesnt listen to the patient and is very condescending. I realise people go on rating sites mostly when they have had a bad experience but if you have any doubt get a second opinion. Just go to another hospital if Sunnybrook wont allow a second opinion. Save your life.
