Very smart and up to date with medication management

Dr. Luria has always taken the time to hear me out and he is very knowledgeable about medications, I have found many doctors to be rather ignorant over the years. He is definitely the best I have seen, he seems to really care.

Good man, he knows his medications yet he doesnt over prescribe

This is the best psychiatrist you will find in the mid Hudson Valley...I have shopped around. I have seen Dr. Luria for several years...he keeps up with the latest advances and trends in medicine and tries to match the best treatment to his patients. I recommend him for medication only however because that is why I see him...I do not see him for therapy so I have no idea about that. However, he is friendly and personable. The only thing I might critique is that his office is in his home - he has a beautiful home and a nice, professional office BUT Dr. Luria is a smoker and a couple times I think he had just smoked in his office and it smelled very smokey and gave me a headache. But this only happened a couple times.

I think Dr. Luria does care about his patients. Nowdays most psychiatry comes down to medications. I do not think he overprescribes, but medication is his main means of treatment. If you are looking for someone to talk to about your terrible childhood or things like that, you would probably be better off with a psychologist. He is knowledgable about the meds and will try to determine which medications will work best for you.

didn't help just kept feeding medications and truely didn't seem to care
