Usually have to wait in waiting room beyond scheduled appointment time, however; Dr. Yanko is well worth waiting for. He gives you the required time to address your health issues. He is very attentive, friendly, compassionate and has a great sense of humour. He is very knowledgable and usually can provide treatment the day of your office visit but it is not beyond him to refer you to a specialist and/or order lab tests. He will get to the root of your medical problem. I always feel better after a visit with Dr. Yanko. He goes beyond the call of duty and I am very fortunate to be his patient.

Has been our family Docotor for years, he is an incredible man who truly is compassionate. Made house calls to my elderly parents and always goes beyond what we expect. Takes the time to listen and explain and never seems to be in a hurry, which is why you may have to wait a bit for your appointment, I would much rather have a caring Doctor than a punctual one.

Can't say enough about the guy. Up until now, my visits have been for the usual stuff. He's been very informative, makes sure you understand everything before you leave his office and makes you feel like you are important - not just another patient. My husband and I are expecting our first baby and Dr. Yanko has made us feel very comfortable about all that goes on in a pregnancy. He's a fantastic person and doctor. I'm extremely happy that he will be there for my my kid(s) as a doctor. Too many times I hear friends complain about their doctor, that they didn't listen or shuffled them out the door with a quick fix. Not Dr. Yanko. When you see him you feel better and that he's heard your concerns. I too hope that he never leaves Kamloops. A fabulous, fabulous man/doctor. I'm very thankful he's my parents doctor also. I know as they age they are in very good hands. My dad has gone thru a couple major surgeries and the family feels at ease with Dr. Yanko helping us through.

Very personable. He will not talk over your head. Likes to describe things the way those who aren't doctors will understand. Takes an interest in people, and their health concerns. Great guy!

Dr.Yanko is one of the MOST caring people I have EVER met in my life. He makes house calls! He has wonderful counseling skills and has gotten to the root of every problem that any of my family members have ever had, he treats people with dignity and respect. As far as the waiting times go..It is the same everywhere and anywhere you go. Go to the emergency room and see how long you wait. At least when you leave Dr.Yanko's office you feel like you have been heard, he draws pictures to show you about the problem, he talks to you with compassion and gives the feeling that he really really cares about what is going on in your life. To me that is priceless, we need more Doctors like him and I pray Kamloops NEVER loses him.

Extremely caring and helpful--even makes house calls when it is difficult for a patient to be mobile. With such a heavy patient load, to find a doctor so dedicated, is indeed heart warming.
