Excellent dentist!...would refer him to anyone in need of a dentist that is honest and knowledgeable. His staff is also a great bunch( humorous and professional) while assisting him...I always finish with a smile on my face.

The rating from 3/11 is grossly unfair. Dr. Layton's ethic of putting his patients' best interest first is the cornerstone of his practice, a trait that more often than not amounts to his financial disadvantage, probably much more often than Joe Public would ever comprehend. The fact that he continues this ideal in combination with his high level of workmanship transcends any financial reason. I should know. I've been a patient of Dr. Layton's for 12 years -- and I'm also a dentist. Enough said.

Dr. Layton is the most professional and most competent dentist I've EVER been to...and I've been to a lot of them. He explains everything, his needles never hurt, and his treatment recommendations are always for my best interest - not his. He is also very accomodating for emergencies, and his staff very pleasant. It's a huge relief to me and my family to find someone so trustworthy and reliable.

I had a very bad tooth ache which he helped me with on a Sunday afternoon. Very efficient and does a good job. Very good at giving freezing, does not hurt. Always explains what he is going to do and gives you all options. Nice to deal with.

He's more interested in dollars than patients. Certainly wasnt concerned with the amount of discomfort I had. When i called the after hours emergency line, he was supposed to be on call from his boat in port alberni! That really wasnt much help to me. The tooth he was determined to save at all costs.. sure did end up costing ME a bundle.
