I read Dr. Aoki recently retired. I certainly wish him well on a well-deserved retirement, and his absence is going to be keenly felt!
I saw Dr. Aoki in 2013/4 regarding frequent UTI's and kidney infections that seemed to always rebound and were related to my having a rare kidney condition.
Dr. Aoki was wonderful. He was down to earth and explained things in a very clear way, without using a lot of medical jargon. or being condescending and watering it down too much. He pored over my medical records and made suggestions for treatment where other doctors had hit a brick wall before: and it worked. He was always on time even though he was busy, very patient and took the time to listen. I could tell I was in the presence of a genius because he wasn't bombastic or egotistical like some doctors are: he simply did what was needed and was patient and kind. I wish him all the best!

Not the doctor to see on anything Lyme related, within five minutes of first meeting said he believed I did not have Lyme after testing positive for Lyme and on doxycycline for Lyme for five months. Then proceeded to take a history with numerous interruptions as his cellphone was ringing off the hook and he kept answering. I believe that is why his opinion/report on my symptoms was that I am chronically mild depressed. The report itself is riddled with multiple inaccuracies that twists my words to create and fit a false narrative.

The staff even after taking my information proceeded to send me a invoice for the appointment, follow up reports were not sent to CPP disability even after follow up call. I am not a depressed person and do not have a depressive personality and if I was I would seek help.

After further investigation from my GP they located a 5mm growth on my pituitary gland.

My hope in posting this review is that Dr.Aoki would be more intentional with the people in front of him before brushing off symptoms as depression.

Dr. Aoki is very knowledgeable in all aspects which relates to his professional background. He is very thorough, attends to his patients with respect. He is very down to earth, very honest with his views, and makes excellent recommendations in patient treatment per protocol.

I shattered both of my feet 2 years ago, had multiple surgeries and ended up getting osteomyelitis. He was looking over my case and after lots of treatment he was able to save my right foot!

Dr Aoki is one of the best I've ever seen. He helped me understand that having HSV isn't the end of my sex life and more importantly he helped me restore my self-esteem after my diagnosis. He even offered to talk to my partner to better educate him about HSV so he would feel more comfortable as well! Excellent Doctor and human, would highly recommend.

Dr. Aoki saved my left foot from being amputated during infection from Charcot foot. Always went out of his way to see me even after hours in different hospitals. Thank You
