Physicians are supposed to help not harm.
Read his reviews before making an appointment.

Makieve is a complete loser and an awful doctor. He is employed by Kaiser working out of Roseville medical center. I don’t understand why Kaiser employees him with all the Excellent doctors Kaiser employees. He is not one of them avoid this doctor.

This guy is a JERK! He was impatient each time he saw my elderly uncle and had absolutely no bedside manner. He made a CRITICAL error in prescribing Ambien for his sleep (or lack thereof). My sweet uncle had dementia and once it was in his system, he became short tempered, couldn't stay seated for long. Then, he had gone to bed at 11:00, but just 25 minutes later, he was up and naked (yes, naked) and wanted to go outside - in January - just to go "for a short walk." He was up all night, finally falling asleep just before dawn. Thanks Dr. Makieve, I guess you didn't bother to note that Ambien can, in some cases, cause INSOMNIA!! Especially when it interacts with certain dementia meds.

Do NOT recommend. Impatient, rude and condescending. This includes the doctor and staff. Especially disappointed because the patient, my father, is elderly.

Dr. MaKieve has been my primary care doctor for almost ten years and he has been and is just wonderful! He CARES about his patients and the practice of medicine. He also has a great support staff. When I lost my husband, he spent his lunch hour consoling me and sent a personal, caring card to our family. Blessed is he who has him for a doctor!

Excellent bedside manor. Very Knowledgeable with diabetes.

Could sometimes have a hot temper towards employees, but seemed to be caring otherwise.
