I am 80 years old. In June 2017, I had a difficult thyroid surgery for removal of a very enlarged lobe. It was painless at all stages and with perfect results and easy recovery. Dr.Clayman and his assistants stayed in touch with me from first application to full recovery. I recommend Dr.Clayman and Tampa General Hospital without reserves.

After finding out the size of my thyroid cancer nodule, Dr. Clayman called me at 10:45 PM that
night and the next day had someone schedule surgery Monday. He actually worked me in. Absolutely no pain after surgery the next day and none going forward. EXCELLENT CARING SERVICE. ABSOLUTELY TOPS. DON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE WITH A THYROID PROBLEM.

I had a full thyroidectomy as a result of pappilary cancer that had spread to lymph nodes. I am 2 months post op & feel great. My follow up treatment will start soon and closer to home. I am incredibly thankful to him and his staff for their exceptional care.

Dr. Clayman is literally one of the (if not THE) best thyroid surgeons in the entire world. I consider myself so lucky to have been cared for by him and his staff. Cancer is scary, no matter what kind, and the more knowledgeable your doctor, the better chance for your outcome and your overall experience. Dr. Clayman performed a comprehensive pre-surgical evaluation and then a complete thyroidectomy on me. I had no complications and a scar that is almost non-existent. Not only that, but I am now 100% cured of my thyroid cancer. Dr. Clayman's bedside manner is excellent (he listens, explains everything clearly, and truly cares about you). Both he and his staff follow up almost immediately if you call or email with questions, and they also follow up regularly post-surgery to ensure you're feeling/healing well. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Clayman to anyone.

Dr. Clayman is one of the top surgeons in the US and I am so grateful to be one of his patients. He performed a complete thyroidectomy and lymph node (cancer) surgery for me, and I am amazed at how quickly I recovered. He is kind, gentle, patient and understanding. He has a wonderful bedside manner, and is so positive in his attitude that he calms your fears and gives you hope. Highly reccommended. His staff are all caring and patient as well.

Dr. Clayman gives me hope! He LISTENS and he the type of doctor who will try and try again until you FEEL better. I have a history of Hashimotos and he performed a partial thyroidectomy after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer. I couldn't dream of a better doctor while going through such a rough time! I have had other doctors tell me that it's in my head, that my labs look fine so I must be ok, and even that I may need to seek the help of a psychiatrist/psychologist. Dr. Clayman tells me that how I FEEL is what is important. I couldn't dream of a better doctor!
