Had an Ablation done for A-fib back in 2012 performed by this guy. Changed my life after struggling with this condition for 6 years! This guy does his job and does it well! To all the whiners regarding having to wait an hour! Maybe he spent a little extra time with someone who really needed it before your appointment! Potentially could be saving you or a loved ones life and you're upset you had to wait a whole half our to see him!? I'm not looking for someone to sit at my bedside and hold my hand! He does what he was trained to do. End of story!!

My husband and I's experience with Dr. Novak was excellent. We were not kept waiting for any unreasonable length of time. He was thorough and took the time to get a full history. He explained what was happening. He made suggestions for the next steps to take. He completely eased our minds about my husbands condition. Having read through all these reviews it's clear to me that someone has had a negative experience with him and is having all his/her family and friends write 1 star, two sentence slander.

I have been referred to Dr Novak twice in the last 5 years or so. I have found him to be most efficient and thorough in explaining and planning my care to me and my wife. He was kind, compassionate , polite and caring in answering our questions. I certainly would not hesitate to see him again or be treated by him.

When I first read the negative and inflammatory comments about Dr. Novak, I must admit it caused me some concern, since I am a patient of his. I asked my GP his opinion and he assured me that as far as he was concerned, Paul Novak was an excellent cardiologist and that if any of the accusations were true he would be aware of them. I was in the Royal Jubilee Hospital recently undergoing a procedure, and took the opportunity to ask my cardiac nurse for an opinion of Dr. Novak and was instantly reassured that I was in very good hands. Dr Novak performed an A-Flutter ablation two years ago which not only eliminated my A-Flutter but also had a positive effect on my A-Fib. It is unfortunate that unsubstantiated criticism and outright lies can be posted so easily and anonymously. The person responsible should be ashamed of himself and realize that he or she is also causing unnecessary stress and worry for Dr. Novak's patients. MW

Just finished a session with Paul Novak who handled himself perfectly as he described to me the process by which he determined a course of action that we'll take for dealing with my condition. He was polite with my wife and with me as he got to the point and we dealt with the issues. I'm not particularly interested in making friends with a doctor who might see me once or twice so I don't need the bedside manner stuff. I want a competent professional who calls a spade a spade - he was perfect.

Very happy with Dr Novak! Yes, he is a little arrogant but I can appreciate that. He needs to have the confidence to do the job. Yes, he does have a sense of humour too.

Always 30 minutes to 1 hour late!! Then he breezes in and talks fast. Had an ablation. Scheduled for 8 am. Did not get it until 2 pm.

Dr. Novak gave my mom her life back. He knew I was very concerned and he called me in the lab, with my mom, prior to doing her ablation. He was extremely thorough, kind and thoughtful. He took the time after the procedure to very clearly explain all he had done and the success of it.
My mom was at total peace with him and we all felt strongly we were in good hands with Dr. Novak. I understand he may not be warm and fuzzy, but the word that kept repeating when I asked about him was brilliant.
And the common phrase was 'he's my first choice'.
I went to this site prior to my moms surgery and I was extremely concerned. I can say with confidence that the Dr. Novak we experienced is not the one that is negatively portrayed below in some of the reviews.
Thanks to him, my mom has her life back!

My first consultation with Dr. Novak was my last. Not only was he extremely arrogant, I learned later on from another medical professional that he is being investigated for malpractice.
