I went to Doctor Baxter for hair loss, she recommended a prescription and Rogaine, when I returned for a second visit I told her that the Rogaine caused blisters on my scalp,, and these are her exact words. "Well I guess you're s..t out of luck then" So unprofessional, I will never go back to her again.

I have seen Dr Baxter approximately 7 times in the past several years for different issues. She is soon retiring but I wanted to put in a review about my experiences with her. She is very busy, a woman of few words and although her tone may appear to sound a bit dismissive - she helped me with all of my issues over the years. She is leaving a big gap for dermatology patients in the Saint John area. I will most likely have to travel to Moncton or Fredericton if any of my issues return. Congratulations on your retirement Dr. Baxter !

This doctor has permanently ruined my health. I went to her for an issue on my foot. She put me on a ton of steroid and took a biopsy. She prescribed me 16 prednisone pills every morning for 2 weeks. Shortly after taking the prescription, my blood sugar spiked. My GP was concerned, especially when he found out the amount of steroid I had taken. I don’t have a history of diabetes in my family... at ALL. Thanks to her.. I now have steroid induced diabetes. I have to take more medications to try and control the damage she has done to my liver and pancreas. I wish I knew how to sue her behind off for this. I now have to live the rest of my life dealing with her incompetence. Thank you so much Dr. Baxter. 😡

I was nervous to visit Dr. Baxter because of all the poor reviews on here. After having a couple of appointments with her and knowing what to expect, I actually looked forward to my appointments with her! I found her to be incredibly knowledgeable and easy to talk to. If you’re respectful you will get the same in return. She knows her stuff and is good at educating patients in my experience. Don’t expect to be babied, but you can expect to be treated kindly, efficiently, and professionally by this excellent doctor. Highly recommend!

Had an issue for 4 years that my family doctor almost laughed about and in minutes Dr Baxter diagnosed and prescribed treatment. Was cleared up within a few weeks. She had an awesome attitude and very understanding.

Went for hair loss
Due to a medication I reacted too. She told
Me my hair was burnt from heat use. Nope it wasn’t it was falling out in chunks from the root. It was very alarming. I had been on a new prescription for 3 weeks for my bladder. My body started to itch and my hair falling out. I eventually realized that was the only thing I d different. Once I googled the medication side effects were extreme itchy and reversible hair loss. She has no interest in the medication or even looking it up. Just told me was heat damage and would grow back in a year. Didn’t really seem interested at all in what I had to say. The appointment I had reflected the many appointments of previous patients comments.

I had taken a prescription that had a side effect which made my hair fall out. I had gone to see Dr. Baxter because I now half the hair I did 8 months ago. It continues to fall out in excessive amounts. She said my flat iron was too hot. I’m hadn’t used a flat iron for 3 months before going to see her. Clearly stopped doing anything that would cause my hair distress. She kept saying she “ could appreciate what I was saying “ in a demeaning tone and my hair would grow back in a year. I continue to loose my hair after stopping this prescription and hope I can find help else where or at least someone whom seems interested in what I have to tell them. The staff was great I rated a one because there really wasn’t a place to rate the overall experience with the Dr.
