Dr Wood has been my psychiatrist for a few years now, and when I started going to see her I was really really struggling. She has helped me so much and I'm really thankful that I've had such a wonderful psychiatrist. I had my last appointment with her today because I'm now moving into the adult mental health system.

Dr. Wood is a complicated case. My symptoms were often unregarded and she almost seemed mocking in nature when spoken to about symptoms outside the normal in youth.

I was put on unnecessary medications and misdiagnosed with bipolar as a teenager . Had to see several other doctors to have my mental health cleared so I could join the Canadian Forces. In my personal experience, Dr Wood seemed to opt for a quick diagnosis and medication. When things would not improve, it was a matter of either adjusting dosage or switching meds. Maybe this works for some people (I'm obviously not a doctor).

Dr. Woods is a kind caring provider who empathises with her clients families extraordinarily well from a relational model of practice. The support and knowledge she has provided to our family around our daughter's medications, suggested therapies and lending an active listening ear has enable our family to be highly functional. I am truly grateful for the provider she is !!

I have taken both of my children to her for ADHD. She was able to help my daughter immediatly, we saw improvement in days. She was very patient in finding a suitbable medication schedule for my son. We had to try many different types and dosages to find one that worked for him. She also filled out and faxed in all the paper work to apply for "plan G" so we didn't have to pay for medication.

She has been clear, patient, and skillful in the assessment in our daughter who presented with a very complicated mix of symptoms. We have a healthy happy daughter because of her help. I highly recommend Dr. Wood. I do have to add that if you are in crisis, you need a back up plan that is different from getting in touch with her. She is often not accessible outside of her appointments.

I saw Dr. Wood back about 7 years ago when I was a young teenager. My GP referred me to her. She was not helpful. At all. I dreaded every appointment I had with her. She had me use this work-book that looked like was for 10 year olds. I felt worse AFTER each appointment.
