I was referred to Dr Yoshida for my cancer treatment. Being a researcher kind of guy, I looked up reviews on ratemds. With seeing so many one & two stars, I got concerned & I started checking with friends & was amazed at how many raved about how great Dr Yoshida was. Of the six people I talked to, everyone was very pleased & couldn't say enough good things about him. One was a close friend & nurse who volunteered at the cancer clinic after she retired. She had first hand knowledge about DR Yoshida & raved how great he was & how he kept up to date on cancer treatments. I then took a closer look at the previous reviews & discovered those who submitted bad reviews were about minor things like bedside manners etc. I just had my first visit and was impressed by his explanation & he answered all my questions & didn't rush me. I will say that he talks very softly & you have to pay attention. Cancer is a tough thing to deal with & no doctor is a magician who can come up with miracles. After talking to six people who spoke very highly of Dr Yoshida, I'm am very confident that I will get the best of care.

Dr. Yoshida is a fabulous doctor!! If you give him the opportunity to smile or laugh...he will!! I have had his care over the last several years and he has been wonderful.....and yes, he will listen to you. He is a very very busy man and gets tired and overworked just as we all do !! I give him credit for dealing with all those sick people everyday! Bless his soul!!

Great Dr very smart and has been excellent with me. Seems like a very quiet person but I can't say enough good about him.

No compassion. Rude and confrontational. All bad characteristic when dealing with cancer patients. I dropped him after one encounter, GP got me in to specialist in London who is great. Yoshida told me I would be dead in six months, so get my affairs in order. It's now OVER 6 YEARS and still going strong. Tell your GP to skip Sarnia cancer doctor and go straight to London.

My uncle was a patient of Dr. Yoshida.....would definitely not recommend at all. After 6 weeks, still no diagnosis or treatment plan. Had to head to London for treatment only to be seen by one of the finest. Would never see him as a Specialist! Ever!

Horrible doctor. Lazy, no compassion, no communication, condescending, close minded. He doesn't communicate with other oncologists in London or Toronto in a timely manner. We requested that he present my mother's case to the tumor board in London and it took him 6 weeks to do that. It took him over a month to start chemo. He should know how important time can be with this disease but perhaps he just doesn't care. His staff are terrific people and I pity them for having to work with such a lousy person (I can not bring myself to call him a doctor). If you are in Sarnia and faced with working with this man. I highly urge you to go to London and work with a real doctor.

I believe the 2014 posts here are phantoms or a woman scorned... rumor has it Dr. Yoshida has fallen ill. His health has been declining for the past 2 years.
