Horrible doctor. Misdiagnosed me which led to more issues and yelled at me after he made mistakes on a form. Staff is extremely rude as well.

Dr pototschnik has given me 2 new knees after a couple of years of cortisone shots. He has always been professional and kind. I’m so thankful he did both knees.

Was in a traumatic horse accident & dislocated my hip in a very difficult position. After a few doctors failing to know how to put it back in place, I was transferred to Stratford. As an 18 year old with a lifetime-affected accident, I was very anxious. Dr P was very calming and promised me that he was going to try his best to put my hip back in with the least amount of damage possible. So blessed that he was able to perform the task!:)

Outstanding surgeon, he performed my hip surgery and changed my life, recovery was flawless and scar healed nicely. Dr Pototschnik is an incredibly kind, caring and compassionate man, he actually refused to operate twice due to other discovered issues, chest infection and Afib to ensure my safety.

What a wonderful man. I had a left hip replacement 3 years ago, and I found the experience very positive. The surgery went well. He noticed I had one leg longer than the other which he adjusted. This has also relieved me of sciatic nerve pain. It has gone along with the pain of a worn hip.. I couldn't have been more impressed with his work and demeanor throughout the entire situation. Thank you Dr. Pototschnik.

I have seen Dr Pototschnik several times over the years. I wouldn't go to any other Doctor...ever!!! He is a fabulous Doctor and a wonderful caring individual. I have never felt rushed during an appointment and he always explains everything, never getting annoyed if he needs to go into depth for any reason at all. He also has a sense of humour that puts you at ease!!!

I saw Pototschnik (I intentionally did not use Dr.before his name) in the Fracture clinic in Stratford Hospital after being referred there by the ER Doctor. He was very abrupt and dismissive with me and treated me like I was a idiot. Told me I had arthritis in my knee and nothing he could do and shot my knee with cortisone. I asked him about Scoping it and got a lecture 'that scoping is overused and eventually OHIP will stop paying for it'. He refused to do an MRI and clearly had no intention or interest in helping me. My family doc had an MRI done and sent me to a different Orthopaedic Surgeon who scoped it, cleaned it up as best as possible and got me back to work. When I got my MRI results I phoned the Chief of Staff at the Hospital about Pototschnik and complained. I wouldn't let Pototschnik touch me again with a 1000 foot pole. No idea what his receptionist is like as I saw him at the hospital.
