This Doctor does not respect anyone’s time.
My daughter and I had a 9:45 meet and greet appointment. I took two hours off work for the appointment. However, we waited over an hour and a half and still didn’t get called in. I then informed the receptionist that we would have to rebook the appointment as I had to get back to work. The receptionist rebooked us, but later that day she called and said that Doctor Shain didn’t think we would be a good fit because we didn’t wait for her, therefore she would no longer accept us as patients.
Doctor Shain is spiteful and unprofessional. She clearly thinks she doesn’t need to respect anyone. Thank goodness she’s not the only Doctor in Markham.

We have been seeing Dr Kara for years When she first set up practIce she seemed caring and interested but as time went on she started to take on 2-3 patients for one time slot. It was quite common to be waiting several hours to see her. At first we tolerated the long waits because she spent time with her patients. Unfortunately, she became very ill-tempered as time went on often snapping at people for and no. She would take bookings for patients through her lunch and as we discovered would take her lunch brake while patients were left waiting in an exam room rather than booking the time off. Along the way she acquired a rather unpleasant group of individuals to staff her office. They were often extremely rude and lazy in performing their duties. Somehow she kept them on for years; evidently blind to their behavior. Files were often misplaced and even lost; always strewn all over the same backroom that the patients needed to cross to get to the exam rooms. No serious privacy. Dr. often diagnosed wrong and if it were not for her associate doctor who filled in for her while she was on holiday I would have been waiting for quite some time for an accurate cancer diagnoses. Never apologizing, when she realized that was wrong she did not make any exceptions and kept me waiting for hours in an overcrowded waiting room shortly after I had a stem cell transplant. Thankfully, her nurse at the time took the initiative to move me into an exam room to avoid contact with other patients. Even, so , Dr Kara kept me sitting in this room every time, without fail, for hours.

As soon as she sees results beyond the ordinary she contacts me. Very caring and respectful and gives you as much time as you need and therefore backups happen. I come from Cobourg to Markhan because I trust her.

Amazing doctor. She is very caring, thorough and listens to her patients. If they have a concern, she orders tests right away and follows up in a timely matter. I'm glad she moved to this new clinic at cachet because she seems more relaxed and provides better care. She is more attentive to her patients. We love you Dr. Kara!

The first year I meat Kara she was nice and all the past couple of years she been very unprofessional disrespectful no time for her patients and does NOT listen or care. She's does not want to do tests she does not diagnose properly she ignores and only hears what she wants to say! She's always grumpy in a bad mood i know 5 females that go to her with same issues she refuses to give prescriptions only nice to he male patients which I know of. Very very rude and needy she thinks this profession is only about her! When she's asked to check about a concern in my health she totally ignores it and plus she has the audacity to have her staff calling the patients why they want to see her when there's an appointment already booked. The staff and the dr herself talk bad about the patients all the time. They make you wait for 2-3 hours. If you can't be there for the patients then you shouldn't be a doctor, its better to retired than treat patients like they're nothing. Obviously we all are advocates for our bodies and health.

Dr Kara our family doctor for over 30 years, myself, mom, and sisters. She is like my second mommy, I can talk to her, cry to her, she is a good listener and caring person, so clients complain that the wait is too long, but because she is so caring, she will not ignore you. She is very professional even when she is going through her own problems. I pray for her all the time because she is human just like us. Once you explain your symptoms to her, she will send you for tests and if you needs referral she will do it as quickly as possible. She sent me to the best surgeon. She is one of a kind, I would not change Dr Kara for any other doctor unless she retired. After she moved, it was too far, for my mom, so she went to a close Doctor to her, didn’t last 3 months, she was back with Dr Kara crying on her shoulders. We love you Dr Kara, and remember that you try to please everyone, but sometimes you just can’t please all. God bless and keep, during the pandemic I heard my friends said that they can’t see their doctor and we didn’t have a problem seeing dr Kara. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Dr Kara sharif forgot Hippocratic Oath:
This dr is full of ego, college of physicians call me for Dr Kara taking new patients they also faxed her office to tell them I will call them in a day and I called her office give me a appointment date February 11 2022, after a day received a call from hospital for my back surgery on February 8 2022,this appointment i was waiting for a year I made a call dr Kara office asked them if dr can meet me before February 8 2022, Alex one of staff member’s was speaking with me she says going to sending dr Kara message I told Alex i really need a family doctor because my surgeon will send to family dr my reports and give instructions to write me prescriptions later on. Alex called doctor is full no more space for new patient I said OK I knew she lied to me, Again I received a call from Dr office different staff members she gave me appointment in April first week 2022 suddenly she put on hold saying I’m sorry we can’t give you any appointments because Alex.tell her about dr doesn’t want to meet me.
This dr Kara is not a helpful at all

I recommend Cachet medical because they have always been so kind and accomodating... even fitting me in when they were fully booked for my health issues which I really appreciate. The staff are very kind and professional. My family doctor, Dr. Kara is also an amazing doctor... caring, compassionate, thorough and never rushes with me. I have been with her for over 15 years now and will be very sad when she retires. She is always spot on with diagnoses and referred me to specialists. There should be more doctors like her in the world.

She is a very good doctor. Other than a longer wait to see her, she is very knowledgeable, pays attention to details, prescribes only medication that you really need, and adds exercise and diet to her medical advise. I love Dr. Kara , she has been my doctor for more than 30 years and could be the reason why I am still alive today considering my hard headedness and lack of discipline in dealing with my health problems. Thank you Dr. Kara Shariff.

I love Dr. Kara Shariff. She has referred me to the best doctors for my autoimmune condition. She is very intelligent and caring for her patients. She is also very professional, kind and caring towards her patients. I understand some people here have had bad experiences... And yes the wait times can be long. I've waited for 3 to 4 hours before but it seems the wait times are better as I've waited only 40 mins on Wednesday. I personally haven't had any bad experiences.... I really don't mind waiting for a good doctor. I feel safe in Dr.Kara's care.

She does seem over stressed at times and I agree she should only have patients that she will be able to give quality care to. I don't want her to be overly stressed because as a patient, I care for her too. Not good for her to be in the office til 2am. As a patient, I understand the stress she goes through as a doctor and it's a high stress job. I just hope she has time for her own health and for her family. She is very sweet to me, like a loving mother. I love her. ❤
