This clod was a relic when I was little and that's when Mike Pearson was PM.Can't imagine him lasting into the 2000's.Had a strap thingy on his head like Dr. Welby and remember him not letting anyone talk.

Peter Stone is the worst doctor I have ever met. The manner in which his filthy office is run, was very surprising. I saw him for cauterization of my sinuses both in his office and at Quinte Health Care. Arrogant, patronizing, with a tone like that of a mute school marm, his hands shook so badly, while working on my nose, I considered asking him to stop. The follow-up appointment was booked at the wrong location (he did not tell me it would be at the hospital) - his staff member responded very rudely when I asked for clarification, so I simply told them, “You know what? never mind” and left. Dear reader, here is my recommendation - DO NOT VISIT THIS DOCTOR. Instead, wait a little longer for one of the other local ENTs. Stone is easy to get an appointment with for a reason.

Dr Stone has cared for my father, brother and me over a period of about 30 years. Without exception we have found him to be highly professional and competent. It was Dr Stone who alerted my brother to the possibility of a malignant tumor and arranged immediate care with one of his colleagues in Toronto. Mrs House, the receptionist, was always cordial and business-like with me. I have no difficulty in highly recommending Dr Stone

We visit Dr. Stone's office once or twice per year and have had consistently good experiences with both the doctor and his staff.

A family member went to Dr Stone to see about a lump on neck. Dr stone said a biopsy wasn’t necessary. This family member died from cancer within a year. The lump on this family member’s neck was later confirmed (at another hospital) to be metastatic cancer. No one will ever know if my family member would have survived if Dr Stone had have done his job or even if Dr Stone would’ve put the tiniest bit of effort in. We aren’t afforded that insight. Regardless, my family member is now dead.

Heard comments right from the begin that you would find your experience at this office very unpleasant. At this point would have to say that is true. Doctor comes across arrogant but given the fact he is old and been around for a long time give benefit of doubt that he has the best interest of his patients at heart. The office staff (particularly the reception who tells you she has been there 18 years) are just simply rude and unpleasant and appear to be running a scam with their missed appointment side business.
When the doctor indicates a followup in six months the staff unilaterally makes the appointment in their computer system (without patients input or knowledge) and when you call into make the followup appointment as you needed to wait until closer to the six month period because of your work schedule and other engagements, the rude receptionist will tell you that you missed your appointment 3 days ago and that the $25 cancellation fee must be paid in cash (no debit or creditcard) before appointment can be ontained and when you question her about the appointment you never made, she will tell you, you did make the appointment in a very rude way... (its her word against your word that you had never made the followup appointment) and how she has been working there for 18 years and never had a compliant, which is highly unlikely given the reviews indicate here that they are running a scam collecting cash for missed appointments that patient never made or confirmed.

My daughter was referred to him since we found out that she needed to have tubes… Since the first encounter two years ago it has not been pleasant… The receptionist is always rude, he is not good with children . My daughter was only 3 when we first started going there and of course she’s going to act out when someone is touching and inserting objects into her ear .. he always has a scowl on his face and tends to interrupt me when I’m trying to better understand what is happening and what I should do next to make sure my daughter gets the best medical help! Today alone I was placed on hold twice And got a different lady.. they are know telling me since I “missed” an appointment I have to pay $25 fee .. for one I have never missed an appointment when it comes to my children. I was never given a card for next appointment.. this doctor is a joke! He’s a scam!

I am so disgusted with the way this doctor treated myself and my son today. I had crossed my leg like one over the other to just begin with on his nasty carpet like bench couch in his dirty office where everything is disgusting even the tube that he would suck something out with looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years absolute filth. He then continued to ask questions about my religion and if I was married and I’m not sure what me being married has to do with my son’s health. He asked me questions in such a dumb manner treated me like a child, right down to the point where he literally asked if my son has a mommy and daddy... Who asks that to begin with ?! Asking about my religion has nothing to do with that as well unless I was a Jehovah’s Witness because I know that they don’t allow blood transfusions. He then continued to ask in a rude manner if I knew the risk of surgeries I answered yes as this is not my first rodeo he then looked at me and said so you realize your son could die.. I will not be returning back he gave me a few small answers that I will be looking into but not with him!
