Dr Wania has been our family physician for years. He is the absolute best! Caring and sincere and will direct you to the help or specialist you need without hesitation. He can also give you the straight up goods without sugar coating it - I can only imagine that's what some people who leave poor reviews on here have trouble with...hearing the truth. Two thumbs up to the best family doctor, we're so lucky to have him!

I have been seeing Dr. Wania for over 10 years. I was grateful I found a doctor. Unfortunatley the level of frustration with him finally made me find another doctor. Argumentative, no coordination with the referrals HE set up! Seems only interested in getting as many visits or calls in $$$$. Have lost over 30 lbs and he still likes to refer to me as obese! Great motivation. Suffered extreme pain for the past 18 months, which I reported every time I saw or talked to him. Never given anything for it. Took dozens of Tylenol daily. Have been to Sunnybrook to prepare for hip surgery. Told them about this and have been prescribed a non-opiod drug that has really helped!!!! Thanks, Dr. Wania! Good Luck! Do not recommend this guy!

Has no sense of independent thinking apart from what medical books he read some decades ago.
God forbid you question him, you will never get treatment except for when he refers you to a specialist. Getting a refill on prescriptions is a hit or miss depending if he feels comfortable to do so, normally he refers you to specialists for any treatment and has no ability to help you beyond the common cold. When I recieved my medical marijuana card 2 years ago he proceeded to call me a drug addict despite that it was CBD prescription. Since legalization he has stopped calling me that.

Dr. Wania is a great family doctor. I have received excellent care over a number of years. His follow up is prompt and I have always had the sense that he really cares for his patients. Dr. Wania is a real credit to the medical profession.

He has no idea what hes doing just sends you to specialist refuses to refill prescriptions other specialists have prescribed. Acts like hes on your side but when you come in with some thing more serious then a cold he cant treat you. Very argumentative and can get hostile. Has no idea what some test specialists oreder or even how to interpret them. Other doctors have told me to leave him as a family doctor.

If your looking for someone who is friendly you won't find it here. He is always on time, always refers you to a specialist if you have concerns. He knows every pill he has ever prescribed to you.
Don't ever inquire about his personal life "like do you have children" Been told it's none of my business. Good points and bad points. Guess the good outweighs the bad as I'm still seeing him, but I have learned to ignore his arrogance over the years as we have gotten into verbal battles.

Dithering, tentative and extremely rude and condescending. Had high hopes when joining this group practice but fear I have made a terrible mistake. They must send in the B team on a Monday night because this man had no clue. Rude, argumentative, confrontational and that was just within the first 5 minutes. Exam room was dirty, actually had to ask him to change the paper on the table as it was used and he had drawn some type of diagram on it for the previous patient. So very disappointed and still not well from not getting the medical help required.
