Dr.Bierman rocks!! If it were not for him, I would not be alive today. After gallbladder surgery, multiple tests/procedures with no answers as to what was wrong with me, my first GI specialist literally gave up on me. I went to Dr. Bierman and he was absolutely determined to help me and figure out what was wrong with me. He diagnosed me at my second visit. Since my disease can be controlled with medicine, if I need a medication change or even if I just have a question, his nurse usually always calls me back on the same day and doesn't mind to call in/switch my medications. I highly recommend Dr.Bierman. He's very intelligent and more importantly he cares about his patients and is determined to help them. There are a lot of doctors that don't care and just try to get patients in and out and be done, but not Dr.Bierman. He sincerely cares about his patients. He is definitely the GI specialist to go to!

It took almost a month to receive remicade, a Crohn's treatment, which resulted in sever pain. Then, because he requested to be paid, in cash, before he would start the procedure. I recommend that you go anywhere else. I have been going there for 4 months now and I have yet to meet Dr. Bierman. The man should have his license revoked for dereliction of duty. By the way, the good reviews on this page are either the doctor himself or really old reviews as no one could feel that way about him now.

I have never been treated so poorly by a doctors office in my life. I have a severe case of Crohns disease and need my remicade on a regular basis. It took Dr. Biermans office four days to return my phonecall. My impression is that Dr. Bierman doesn't take the time to listen to his patients and really doesn't care about anything but the money. He never seemed to care when I was in pain and nothing he was doing for me was helping. I will never recommend him to anybody

I saw Dr. Bierman when I had an awful infection in my GI tract last year. He sent me home with antibiotics. 2 days later after no improvement, I went to the ER and was admitted for 5 days. When I got home and was experiencing weird pains and symptoms, I called Dr. Bierman. He told me to stop all treatment and come see him in a month. I was still experiencing rectal bleeding, extreme pain and nothing had improved. I was on 60 mg of steroids a day for over a week. Stopping them abruptly could have stopped my heart and killed me. By the time I got in to see another doctor, I the infection had entered my blood stream. Had I waited much longer to seek a second opinion, I would have gone into septic shock and died. I have since received several bills from his practice and refuse to pay them. He's one of those doctors that has his hand on the door knob for the whole 3 minutes he's with you. He seems to care more about the money than he's making than the health of his patients.

Staff is always friendly and helpful. Dr. Bierman performed colonoscopy on me and I have returned for 2 other visits. I couldn't be happier. My son died at St Frances 3 years ago on a Saturday night and Dr. Bierman came from home and consoled the family. You just don't see that kind of dedication now days.

I was sent to Dr. Bierman to have a small bowel biopsy via colonoscopy. It was more than 2 hours after the appt. time that I actually got in and, then, all he did was the colonoscopy - no biopsy. Wouldn't recommend anyone see him.

I had 3 procedures done in one trip. Dr. Bierman and the entire staff were very professional. Everyone seemed to enjoy their jobs and appeared happy to be there. A real "down home" atmosphere.
