I was in back n abdominal pain was brought the there by ambulance once their was thrown around like a peiece of thrash, the sent me home while I was dizzy n still in pain set me out by triage didn't care if I had a way home or not. They r very racist in that ER, someone should investigate their ER, ALL minority is put in a hole with no privacy all whites get a bed. This is just part of how I was treated.
They missed pneumonia with my husband because she didn't bother to do a basic assessment. He was complaining of shortness of breath among other things. She barely took a cursory glance in his mouth and declared it to be strep throat. I don't remember strep throat causing shortness of breath? I am a nurse so I know that a basic assessment includes listening to heart and breath sounds. Every. Single. Patient. And if you're dumb enough to not get in what is considered standard of care every time, at least dust off your stethoscope for the someone who is complaining they are having a hard time breathing. 36 hours later we were in another hospital because I could hear his lungs crackling with pneumonia from 3 feet away. No stethoscope needed this time! When we tried to dispute the charges they told us the over $700 was for use of the facility. Maybe they should try to use their own facility and check on the providers every once in a while to make sure they're providing your patients with the bare minimum in care? My husband was in the panic stage of not being able to breathe when we went to the other hospital. If the provider would've done a basic assessment they are required by professional standards to do, the pneumonia would've been diagnosed much sooner, treated earlier, and not allowed to progress to the point where my husband was begging the next ER doctor not to admit him. If we let it go on longer, he would've been on a breathing machine or dead. He's an otherwise healthy 31 year old man. In all seriousness their inability to admit something is wrong and stonewalling us after we complained how bad it was is a huge symptom of something really bad going really wrong at that place. Don't put your family at risk. There are so many other options available. This place can't be bothered to do the bare minimum for every single patient and denies that anything went wrong when they mess up. Do you want that mess caring for you or your loved ones?
This hospital is truly a God send , if it wasn't for this place my mother would be dead right now , the staff and the nurses and all the doctors and all the other people that it takes to run that place they are true Angels on Earth . Thank y'all so much for all that you do .
Love this hospital, especially their Bartlett facility. Caring staff goes out of their way to make you feel like the "only" patient! My only complaint was the food but they insisted I did NOT need salt! Oh gee...guess I had best listen. Really like the valet parking at the main hospital...makes visits to your doctor so much simpler.
