I have been a patient of Dr. Peek for nearly 7 years as of January of 2020. I have 8 herniated discs and 7 degenerative discs. Over the 7 years I have been a patient of Dr. Peek I have had 6 spine surgeries. Every time he has gone above and beyond any other surgeon I have ever been a patient of (I’ve had 15 surgeries total). No other doctor has ever taken more time to explain what is wrong and make sure that the necessary steps are taken to resolve the problem and improve my quality of life. He is the only doctor who has prayed with me before surgery and thoroughly explain to me what was done during the surgery during his rounds the following day. My only child was recently diagnosed with 2 herniated discs in her neck and she was adamant that she will not allow and does not trust anyone no else to treat her spine problems. I would, and have, recommended Dr. Peek to anyone with a spine issue.

My name is D. Weatherford there is so many things I can say about Dr. Peek I'm sure there isn't enough space for what I have to say. Everyone but one person on here has said so many wonderful things about Peek. He is so caring and is focused on his patients when we talk to him. He takes the time to explain what he is going to do. He doesn't push surgery he let's you know it needs to be done if your not ready he tells you let me know when you are and we will get it scheduled. The hugs I love the big bear hugs he gives. He remembers everything about you no matter how long it's been since the last time you saw him. My brother and I have the same back problems and yes we both see Peek he will tell you that Dr. Peek is the best back surgeon out there. Before surgery he will pray with. After surgery he will go out spend time with the family and stays until all questions have been answered and he gives details of what he did. And he comes and see u everyday that u are in the hospital. KUDOS TO DR. PEEK and his wonderful staff.

Dr. Peek is a brilliant surgeon, as well as having complete humbleness, commitment & empathy with his patients each unique health issues. Normally u get brilliant jerks or nice idiots. He is neither he has the best bedside manner than any of my 4 previous surgeons I have had combined. He hugs me, and I don't mean a side hug I mean a full on bear hug every time we see each other. My first surgery was 9 yrs ago with him. I saw him 2 days ago and he remembered everything about my previous case. I love & adore this amazing soul put on this earth to help people physically & mentally. He is confident without being cocky. He will not operate unless its the only option. He isn't in it for the money, he is in it for his patients. I could go on for days on how amazing he is. Much love Dr. Peek, and as u said in our prayer before my last surgery, may God continue to guide your hands in every surgery you do.

God blessed me to find Dr. Peek after I had undergone six surgeries done by another monster. My last surgery had been done six months prior and had me walking on a walker and body was twisted to the left. I had sought the help of several doctors after my third surgery but was told that would be a liability and they couldn't help me. An x-ray showed that the previous doctor had NOT fused the disk and without hesitating, Dr. Peek did just that. He prays with you before surgery and over you in the operating room. The depth of his caring and compassion is truly astounding. If you have a back problem, Dr. Peek is definately the doctor to have!!

Dr. Peek is one of most caring Doctors we have ever met. He performed lower back surgery on my wife 2-1/2 years ago and cervical surgery on her neck last October. Both surgery’s worked out great. Dr. Peek always takes the time to explain everything and really listens to his patients.
We have recommended Dr. Peek to several friends and family.

I hate to say it but after 4 surgeries over a 10 year period, and no relief from back pain, I can't reward any doctor with a good rating. I like Dr. Peek, he is very caring and helpful but, as I have found with most people with back problems, 80% of the people I speak with come out of back surgery no better than when they went in. If a Dr. can't diagnose the problem and fix you within a years time, maybe two depending on the patient, then I say move on to another Dr. After 12 years of suffering with back pain I can finally say I found the best Dr. at UAMS. I finally can function after only 3 months and I would recommend Dr. Erica Petersen to anybody suffering from back pain.

Dr. Peek, is my hero, I had a very bad back and after eight surgeries I needed a very difficult surgery for flat back, it was a very difficult percedure, and he did a wonderful job. I have been seeing him for my back for over 20 years. Dr. Peek lived the L.A. area when I started to see him and that was only 762 miles from my home in Mt. Shasta, Ca. When he moved to little Rock I decided I did not want any one. Except Dr. Peek to touch my back so I have made the trip from my home to Little Rock 5 times over 10 years and I'm happy to do it to see the best back Dr. In the U.S. Roger R. Spitsen

Dr. Peek worked with my mom for over a decade. He has fused multiple discs. My mother's health issues are vast and complicated. She is the exception to the rule. Dr. Peek stuck with her and met each challenge as it arose. My mother had acquired a staff infection in her back during a previous surgery, that Dr. Peek was in no way responsible for. Because of this, he was leary about opening my mother up again to fuse her latest ruptured disc. Dr. Peek collaberated with a gastroenterologist who help him gain access to her spine via her abdomen. This is just one example of how he is willing to go above and beyond to help his patients. He is one of the few doctors that follow their oath to remeber they treat patients not illnesses/injuries. He has always been willing to stay for a few extra minutes during an appointment to inquire how a person is doing in life. For example, he never forgot to ask my mother about her children, and then listened to my mother run down everything that had occurred since the last visit. You just don't find doctors like this anymore. I recall a time when my mom was in financial crisis but she needed some test or procedure. Dr Peek performed the service free of charge. I know it was likely a very rare occurrence but he and our family had a long term relationship by this point, and he has his priorities in the right order: people before money. He is a man of character and an excellent doctor.
