This woman should lose her license. The fact that Sharon Press works with children is alarming.

I am a parent who brought my daughter and son for school evaluations. She has also been extremely empathetic, helpful, knowledgeable and professional and I found her judgement was dead on and her skill set and experience has made the difference for my children. I was referred to Dr. Press through a friend who stated that this Doctor is considered one of the best in Princeton. I recommend her at any chance I can.

Extremely unethical. Dr. Press told me as a child I was not capable of pursuing my dreams to pursue a career in science. She repeatedly lied to my face and made feel extremely uncomfortable. She traumatized me.

Dr. Press is unethical, unprofessional, rude, dismissive, condescending and all about making money and nothing more. It is sad to see someone who is such a disservice to society and to children to top it off. She needs to loose her license because she is so unethical and unprofessional. And yet she thinks she is the best! It's scary...

Dr. Press was right on and gave me incredible help at a time I needed to resolve a serious problem. She was exceptionally knowledgeable, but what impressed me more was how well she listened and understood. I was also grateful Dr. Press was cautions and clear i.e. ruling our physical problems for my feelings, and the need to be direct and honest with her, in order for her to help.

My rating of Dr. Press is exceptional. I found her through recommendations from friends in Princeton, who stated that Dr. Press is the best child psychologist in Princeton. I had an emergency with my daughter. She called me right away and made herself available at her office at 8 pm that evening to assess my daughter. She was the only therapist that my daughter has ever openly engaged with. I felt she was direct, honest and very invested in helping my child. I cannot say enough about how great my experience was with her or the results that we achieved working in therapy with Dr. Press.

While Dr. Press will tell you she is the best in her field, knows the most about ADD, knows the most about bipolar, etc. the truth is Dr. Press is the only one who believes these things. She is out for the money only. She doesn't take insurance because it's all about the money. She won't allow cancellations even when a patient is hospitalized because it's all about the money. I saw her a couple of times only--thank goodness I went with my instincts and didn't go back.

Dr. Press was my sister's therapist. My sister was referred to Dr. Press after having emotional difficulties, which included self-harming behaviors, during her freshman year in college. Not only did Dr. Press fail to recognize that my sister was suicidal and severely addicted to alcohol, she brought my entire family in for one single family session, which culminated in her claim that my parents were dismissive and I was manipulative, vindictive, and trying to ruin my sister's life. We only spoke with her during a single 50 minute family session and had no direct contact with her afterward. Instead of addressing my sister's actual issues, Dr. Press spent her time blaming everything on my family. During her time in Dr. Press's care, my sister attempted suicide twice, eventually landing herself in a residential facility where she was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, depression, and alcoholism, none of which were even suggested as possible diagnoses by Dr. Press. Awful.

I highly recommend her. She is incredibly smart, with a memory like a steel trap. This comes in handy when I can't remember names, dates, or events. It was terrible reading some of the other patient's comments. She is very caring and compassionate and has shown that she truly cares for our well being.

After about a year of leaving Dr. Press's office feeling terrible about myself, I have moved on and found another therapist. My current therapist is wonderful, compassionate, empathetic and helpful. I made virtually no progress with Dr. Press. She spent most of our sessions talking about herself, her children, her interior decorator, etc. When we did get around to me, she was just plain arrogant in her "I know what is best for everyone" attitude. I do believe she has a lot of knowledge about ADD, she is unable to apply that knowledge because she is too critical of all parents. Scheduling is difficult with this therapist.
