Im sure most of these comments are from parents, but im not a parent im acually a kid who used to see Dr. Press. I think i was 6-9 when I saw her and I think she had the opposite effect of helping me. I personally don't remember her personality but I defiantly remember her telling my Mom things about me to make my Mom worry a lot. I also remember taking many medications for various reasons which i personally didn't feel helped me. Im trying not to make this too personal. but if you have a child who you don't want to be socially deprived, I don't recommend her.

I agree that she is very arrogant, pompous, and is definitely out for the money. She does at times make you feel like you are not a good parent. She is knowledgeable on childhood disorders but needs better bedside manners. We also left her to find a more caring compassionate doctor.

I agree that Sharon Press was extremely arrogant at times. While she knows her field and is knowledgeable about childhood bipolar disorder and other diagnoses, she tends to be very domineering and makes you feel like an inadequate parent. I know several people with similar opinions, all of whom, including me, stopped working with her because she made us feel like failures as parents.

She is very knowledgable on Childhood BP and thinks out of the box to help your child. However, her social skills are not the best; she can be very empathic at times and other times she can be arrogent and controlling. She is not flexible on appt time...you have to fit her schedule. If you can tolerate that, then she will do wonders for you child.
