I have been taking my three children to Dr. Rudy for the past 8 years after a wrong diagnosis by our first pediatrician left me looking for a new doctor. A friend recommended Dr. Rudy and we've been taking the kids to him ever since. Dr. Rudy is knowledgeable and patient. He is gentle and concerned with our kids. I don't have a single negative thing to say about him or his compassionate staff. Another plus I've noticed is that his staff has consisted of basically the same people for the past 8 years, so the staff gets to know you and your kids as well as Dr. Rudy does. If you have to wait a little while to be seen, consider that Dr. Rudy is considerate enough not to rush any of his patients when he asks if they have questions for him. He is worth the short wait time.

I'm torn how 2 review this appt--1st review is below--I didn't receive any help. Dr Santoro's ofc is closed Wed & Dr N is his sub. Firstly, staff is OUTSTANDING! Genial & welcoming, my son & I felt extremely comfortable. I'm grateful they were able 2 schedule us w/in 2 hrs. For Dr N: I will agree he's knowledgeable & takes his time w/patients, but I don't know if he was trying 2 impress me or a female intern also in the room w/his non-stop anatomy/science lesson 2 my son- autistic, OCD, special needs child w/considerable issues in comprehension/perception/reasoning. Of course not being a regular patient, Dr N wouldn't know this off-hand. As he felt his neck w/swollen glands told my son if he has lumps in the "triangles" of his collar bone he would have lymphatic cancer. This isn't a "lesson" 2 be told 2 any child if not a REAL issue. My son panicked, tears coming to his eyes! Had 2 reassure him all night the lumps wouldn't fall down & give him cancer. Dr N is good 4 some, but not 4 us.

Dr. Nilooban was a weekend sub for my pediatrician Dr. Santoro. My son was very congested with fever and I called in on a Saturday evening to the weekend answering service. Dr. Nilooban called back but gave me little help and didn't want to see my son. My son got worse by Sunday night so I brought him in early the next day (Monday) to Dr. Santoro who was very worried and sent us immediately down the street for a chest x-ray because he believed my son had pneumonia since his lungs were so congested. Dr. S also apologized for the lack of care over the weekend. Although I didn't go to Dr. Nilooban's office I did give his staff a 5 out of respect and 4 for the doctor's punctuality since he did call back quickly. I am disappointed since I read all of these nice reviews about Dr. Nilooban and got treated as such.

Dr. Rudy is knowledgeable, friendly and caring. We've been taking our kids to him for almost five years now, and we're always pleased with his diagnosis and attention to detail. He is the type of doctor who will patiently discuss with you the pros and cons of a procedure, medicine, etc., including discussing current articles in medical journals. He is clearly interested in his patients' well-being, and doesn't treat his patients as walking income, as many other doctors do. Every doctor should be like Dr. Rudy. His staff has been great, as well--accommodating and friendly. My only criticism would be that the office could be a little brighter and up-to-date.
