My grandson (10) has ADD and Bipolar disorder. Dr. Kumar’s been treating him for 2 years. He’s doing great. His oldest brother was in Jr. High with failing classes & anger issues. Dr. Kumar agreed to see him. By the time he was in 8th grade he was getting math awards and the situation at home was unbelievably better. The middle brother’s in Jr. High now. He’s failing his classes and in trouble at home. Nothing his parents do makes a difference. They have Blue Cross Healthy Families insurance. It’s not much better then Medi-cal. Because it pays so poorly most doctors don’t take it. The few doctors who do take it have to limit the number of patients they accept because it pays so poorly. They couldn’t pay the office over-head if they accept too many patients with Blue Cross Healthy Families insurance. I hope I can find a Doctor that does take it (that is even half as good as Dr. Kumar). PS The secretary in Dr. Kumar’s office is one of the nicest, kindest people you will ever meet.
