DO NOT make an appointment. I was told I had an appointment on a specific day and was turned away due to a clerical error. The office staff seems to be unorganized and unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

I think Dr Mac is a great Doctor i have been seeing him for a long time and i think his staff is amazing i have been to other Doctors and they make you feel very uncomfortable this office is very different and very clean i would highly recommend him

I have been a patient of Dr. Mac for a little over a year and have been mostly satisfied with the treatment. His wait times are fairly long but it never really bothered me. Just recently though, I had an experience that made me rethink this doctors office. I am on a controlled medication, which means that every so often, the doctor needs to verify the prescription with the insurance company. It took three weeks for me to get my medication due to the incompetence of the office staff. While it may not have been totally their fault (I understand that the insurance company has a lot to do with the delay) the reaction I received from the receptionist (patty) was appalling. She was very defensive and told me that I should go to another doctors office if I was unhappy with the service here. Maybe I am mistaken, but that doesn't seem very professional to me. I spoke to doctor Mac about this and he was surprised about this encounter and told me he would talk to her. I really hope he does. Patty should not be working in this field if she cannot do her job in a timely and professional manner. I think it's time I change doctors now. I Would not recommend this office due to the service I received.

Dr. Mac is running a cash factory. He's sees his patients for all of 5 minutes, charges you a co-pay, then bills the insurance company. He lacks empathy and any type of relational skills. He is the type of doctor you will see on 60 minutes getting indicted for 100s of millions of dollars in insurance fraud. Do not go see this man. He is a bottom feeder.

As a patient I have told Dr Mac which drugs I want to be on. Maybe we should trade chairs. Hebkniws nothing. Good thing I can read or I would be really f'd up.

I have been going to Dr. Carvalaho at Vista Del Mar Hospital in Ventura for ten years and he retired so I found Dr. Mac and sent over my medical records. He is very knowledgeable in medications and treatment. I like how he prints out the recommended blood test needed because of my medication. Then I take that printout to HMO doctor, who gives me the paperwork for Quest Diagnostics to get blood test done. These blood test have really help me know my situation. I have no problem getting an appointment and make sure I have $10 cash for the co-pay. They have a nice clean restroom for one person in the waiting room, which is really convenient. I recommend making appointments between 8:30 and 10am. I've been seeing Dr. Mac for about five years. I'm a single 43 years year old male if that helps the review.

Dr. Mac appears to be very rude and inpersonal. He does not spend time to listen to the patient. Each visit is about 2-3 minutes and he wants us to come back in a 2-3 days. He does not like to hear family's point of view. He is totally cold and has no compassion for the patient.
