Looking for a psychiatrist who makes you feel like she isn’t interested in listening to your issues, doesn’t actually want to talk through anything that is bothering you, doesn’t answer any questions and is unprofessional in her communications? Well, then let me introduce you to Dr. Elsa Cruz. We’ve all had doctors that you wonder how they stay in practice due to their abilities (or lack thereof) and temperament. This is one of those examples. No matter what you are dealing with, you need to know that the professional you are paying has the acumen to actually work through everything with you. In this case, I hate having to write that I don’t think she has the knowledge or experience, which is a bit disconcerting considering her profession. I can’t tell you what to do, but I can simply say that if you need assistance of any kind, please get it, but don’t get it from Dr. Cruz.

**PLEASE READ* The purpose of this review is to emphasize the importance of researching BEFORE seeing Dr. Cruz - I wish I had.

Looking at her phone during the majority of our 40 minute session
Repeating the same question that was previously answered
Prescribing medications without a full understanding
Trying to sell Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) to help without a full understanding
Not wearing a mask during the session

For those who are depressed and in need of relief, be cautious putting your trust or health in the control of Dr. Elsa Cruz. And, please, don’t take my review as evidence, just Google and you will see for yourself.

ZERO stars. We were sent here because she was the only adolescent psychiatrist anywhere near us (we still have to drive over 45 min). My 14-year old child had to experience her terrible attitude, lateness (over 30 min), lack of empathy or compassion - she didn't even give my son eye contact, and asked me, his parent, all the questions instead. She answered personal phone calls, wrote a prescription, and sent us on our way. She should not be in practice, especially with more sensitive teens.

This doctor is out of touch and a total idiot. She wanted to put me on a drug she knew NOTHING about! Couldn't answer basic questions about why she was choosing one drug over another for me. She also was all over the place with her questions and was distant.
