Dr. Mehta is a real life ANGEL & an absolute HERO! Our newborn was born with brain cancer, and the tumor had grown aggressively and doubled in size by the time she was just 5 weeks old. Dr. Mehta, Dr. Souster, Wendy, Dr. Jacobs, and the entire neuro surgery team at the Stollery is absolutely amazing! The surgery was a complete success and they were so helpful throughout the entire process! Dr. Mehta still pops in to see us in the Oncology ward here and there while we are getting chemo treatments. He truly cares about all of his patients and we are so lucky to have such a world class hero here in Edmonton at the Stollery! Thank you Dr. Mehta for saving our baby girl!

Our son had a presumed case of craniosynostosis and after a horrible experience at The Alberta Children's Hospital we were able to connect with the head shape clinic in Edmonton. Dr. Mehta and Nurse Wendy were absolutely incredible to deal with. Their passion for what they do shined through our entire experience, the knowledge, compassion and ability to connect and understand our concerns as parents was unparalleled. Our son was booked in for surgery 4 days after our initial consult. Anyone who has a child with Craniosyniostosis should not go anywhere but The Stollery. They set the gold standard in care and treatment for this condition. We are forever grateful for the care our baby received from Dr. Mehta, NP Wendy and all the other amazing health care professionals at The Stollery.

Dr Mehta is the best doctor anyone could ask for when their child has a brain tumor. He is a gifted surgeon, an excellent communicator and very honest and up front. We are so grateful to have someone like him who has dedicated his life to taking care of children with brain and spinal cord problems. He is there day and night. The nurses respect him so much - you can tell by how they speak about him. Thank you Dr Mehta!

I have had two spinal surgeries with Dr. Mehta. He has truly changed my life for the better. My procedure was risky and it was for my extreme spasticity from my rare disease. No other doctors were willing to help me the way Dr. Mehta did. He totally agreed with what i was wanting as well. He did not push a baclofin pump on me as every other doctor did. Dr. Mehta is so intelligent and yet so caring. It seems as though, he thinks of you as if you were his kid and he wants the best for you.
Dr Mehta could sometimes be late, by most an hour. I can’t say i blame him, or was ever mad about it.
He is an incredible Neurosurgeon who is extraordinarily busy and it takes a super human to be able to do what he does.
If you have any issues with your spine and brain i would suggest Dr. Mehta.
The nicest doctor i’ve ever met. 10/10 recommend.

I just had my 2nd surgery on Sept. 9 2019. I feel very lucky to have dr Mehta and his entire team looking f after me. They made me feel very comfortable and relaxed through the entire procedure. Dr. Mehta explains things so that the average guy knows what's going on. He is very professional and super friendly. I feel very fortunate to be in his care.

Dr Mehta and his team are excellent when my wife and I got the news that are twins had severe cranio that was in the shape of a clover leaf and encephaloceles we were referred to dr.mehta and he helped give us more time with our daughter who passed away in December 2018 but her twin brother is doing fine but anyone who has a baby or twins with a clover leaf skull deformity should see dr.mehta and wendy are really helpful with any questions you have and the plan they have for your baby

Dr. Mehta and his team are absolutely amazing. My daughter was miss diagnosed and ended up having to have surgery to correct a Sagittal Synostosis when she was 3 1/2 months. I was comforted knowing that Dr. Mehta and his team were in with her because he was so confident and reassuring. They made me feel at ease and that my questions were valid.

Dr Mehta is AMAZING! His expertise and knowledge and helpfulness was very comforting when my son 14 yrs old was dx with GBM at the start of 2019 on Jan 2, 2019. The surgery went well and without his intervention we might’ve lost my son 3 weeks after surgery. Wendy, nurse practitioner and Dr Mehta were both awesome to my son Sheklun and my boys while we went through this nightmare.

Our daughter was suddenly diagnosed with a brain tumor. And operated on less than 48hrs later. From showing us the tumor to explaining the procedure and the after care for our youngest, we had nothing but exceptional care by Dr. Mehta and RN Wendy.
