Majority of my visits with him, I felt very uncomfortable with his limited decision making skills based on what he didn't know about me. Despite me being a biological male, he kept ordering pregnancy tests in my bloodwork. First off, Im NOT a female. I was however born with an intersex variation but even so, he shouldn't have been doing this because I told him that I was ASEXUAL. Even if I was a female , I would never become something disgusting like that. So apparently everyone is assumed as sexual until proven otherwise?
The treatment I had with the front desk staff/nurses was similar because they kept referring me as a 'she' when I am a guy. It was too troublesome to continuously repeat myself. I was too naive at first because I didn't know what was going on in the background of my visits. I even saw that there was a totally off, non-cardiology related reason for visit on my insurance's website. He simply doesn't know how to listen to his patient. What kind of a safe space can be established if there is no trust between a doctor and a patient? I wish I never went here in the first place because I FULLY REGRET it.

All talk, no action. He didn't follow up with my care like he said he would. I left him messages and his nurse is just as irresponsible

Every time I come to his office we wait over an hour with no explanation. Today he walked into the office an hour after we were scheduled to see him with no explanation or apology.

The trouble is that there is no communication between visits: If your insurance won't pay for a brand-name drug he orders (in other words, a drug for which there is no generic), there is no response when his office is contacted by the pharmacy or patient. Therefore, you end up with no medicine. If your insurance requires prior authorization for certain tests and procedures, the doctor and/or staff may eventually get the authorization for a test or two, but somehow or other the test is never done/followed up, etc. The doctor is very smart and caring when you see him, but, as far as anything else, lots of luck.

I had to get a couple of tests for him and when I got to see him again, he only made things worse by saying I needed even more tests! The thing is, he doesn't even listen to his patients because he literally talks over you. And when you do get to talk, he doesn't trust / believe you. Because of him, they drew way more blood from me than even needed because he FAILS TO LISTEN!

Dr. Capone is a very knowledgeable and very caring. Medically he is one of the best. However, his staff is the worst I have seen in all of my years of seeing doctors. The staff is poorly managed and incompetent in their jobs. There is a high turnover rate. Also, since Dr. Capone has no medical assistants, you are at the mercy of his clerical office staff. There is virtually no feedback from the doctor between visits. Quite unacceptable if problems arise. It is impossible to communicate with the doctor or ask medical questions between visits.

Dr. Capone's billing staff is not understanding, compassionate, or professional. My husband has been calling about a bill for weeks now and has gotten nothing but run-around. He was told today that he had to pay $500 of the bill in three months or his account would be sent to a collection agency. He tried to explain that we are financial stretched and cannot afford to put out that much money at one time, but the billing staff member that he spoke to was unsympathetic. He has been making $25-50 payments on the bill as our finances allow. What more do they want from us?

Dr. Capone is one the best specialists around. He was my parents cardiologist for many, many years and I would never have considered trusting their care to another doctor. He is, kind, courteous, caring, professional, and very thorough.
