I will NEVER take my son to Grant McDougall ever again. Let me tell you that before writing this review I have taken time to calm down and reflect on whether I was right or wrong and also not say saying anything rude or disrespectful that I may regret.
Grant has seen our son 3 times over the span of 5 months. The first time we ever met him we already thought there was something a little off about him. He walked in wobbly, speech was slow and slurred, and he was making some weird jokes. Honestly I thought he was drunk but as he’s a “Doctor” we gave him the benefit of the doubt.
Today we went for our third checkup and had a list of concerns. Our son doesn’t sleep well through the night often waking up every half hour to 45 mins and my wife is feeling signs of post Partum anxiety/depression to name a few. So we thought going to a professional could help us with tips or resources as we are first time parents and we are tired and sleep deprived.
He was quick to brush off all of our concerns. We felt like he didn’t even let us finish voicing our concern before telling us everything is normal. He even told my 5 month old that his mom was “being so critical of you”.
As we are very tired and really at the end of the line as far as what we feel we can handle. We were hoping to find some sort of help, guidance, or direction. He showed no empathy towards us, was so quick to try to get us out of there.
At the point that I felt I wasn’t getting the professional help that we required. I expressed how I felt which is when he got angry, yelled at me while waving his finger in my face and told me he didn’t have to be there. He then asked me if I wanted a new paediatrician for our next appointment which I quickly said “Yes!” to. He then says “well nobody is booking right now so you’ll be on your own”.
I wouldn’t recommend this person to any new parent. Him and his receptionist are rude, he isn’t helpful at all, and most importantly I DO NOT trust him with the health and well being of my son.

Dr. McDougall know his stuff and takes medical concerns seriously. However my problem is that his receptionist is extremely rude. Think she’s sweet on the phone? She is! But she mocks everyone after she hangs up. She also has a perchant for gossiping about her coworkers and then smiling when they come back in the room. Best friends! The doctor was not very kind when I tried to gently tell him that his receptionist was rud after I heard her mocking me after speaking with her. I will be looking for a new doctor as he is always late as well. I’ve had to wait 1-2 hours for most appointments.

Took all my concerns seriousally which led to my son having a early diognosis of a serious condition. Had it not been caught early, it would have been life altering. I'm so thankful to Dr. McDougall taking our concerns seriousally.

We’ve been seeing dr mc dougall since the birth of my first child, 6 years ago. I appreciate the way he talks to the children and how he always listens to my concerns. He’s a great doctor!

I find Dr MacDougall very helped and caring. He not only cares for my children but also cares about my concerns about their health, which means a lot.

From the day our daughter entered this world just over 9 years ago, Dr. McDougall has made us feel comfortable and completely taken care of. Any visit with him has left us going home feeling taken care of, safe and with peace of mind. His personability with the child is simply a joy to be a part of. From the first moments of her life, Dr. McDougall has talked to her as a complete little individual. He has always shown just the right balance between concern and calm, between seriousness and laughter, and we never feel rushed even though he is going none stop every single day. Thank you from the bottom of all our hearts for such wonderful human beings like you Dr. Grant McDougall.

I'm glad the hospital assigned Dr. M as my son's pediatrician. He knows what he's doing and very knowledgeable. His staff his extremely helpful as well, specially in emergencies. They do work within very tight schedules, so u can't expect to see the doc as soon as u walk in.

Dr McDougall is a knowledgeable, kind effective paediatrician. We have been with him since the birth of our oldest in 2007. We trust his opinion immensely. He listened carefully when we called with some concerns about our daughters health and he reacted with concern, diagnosing her quickly and sending her directly to hospital. We have good reason to believe had Dr M not responded so quickly she would have been much much more ill. Those who don’t like him simply don’t understand his sense of humour. We are so grateful for him and the care he provides our children.
