I was referred to Dr. Ziets for the removal of a cyst on my wrist. I have a kidney working at 18%, and I had read that kidney disease and MRIs can be problematic, so when I saw Dr. Ziets I told him about my failing kidney. He told me NOT to worry, and go ahead with the MRI. I scheduled the MRI, went to have it done, and while I was chatting with the phlebotomist before the MRI kidney failure entered the conversation. She had NO IDEA that my kidney was failing, in spite of having written it down 4 times and told the surgeon. She tried to contact the surgeon to no avail. Then she called for a special blood test to find out if my kidneys could withstand the MRI. Afterwards I decided to cancel the surgery. I'm glad I did!

UNLES you are REALLY between a rock and a hard place, with absolutely NO options DO NOT have anything to do with this doctor. He may be brilliant technically- but believe me you will regret it afterwards. He is inflexible uncaring and no human contact. It is like discussing your body with an automaton. His staff is condescending, unhelpful and hostile. When I dissolved in tears once in his waiting room, out of frustration over the unecessary inflexibility of protocol his office manager actually said in a loud voice, so that everyone turned and looked; 'NO, No don't pull the crying routine again.....". This surgeon will rush you out of his office every time. He - and his assistant Nick will act as though they have no time for you. I asked to see my MRI and was refused, being told;" you wouldn't understand it anyway" I asked several times, and was always refused. I have had many surgeries, and every surgeon ALWAYS shared a view of the images, to explain in detail the situation. This doctor is arrogant, unfeeling and despicable in terms of his healing attitude. I could go on.....

Of course there was a wait... It is a doctors office. I waited about 30-45minutes then had X-rays done. When I was escorted to the room my X-ray pics were already on the screen and he was there to explain the pictures. Today I got a call from his assistant with the results from a hip MRI I had done 2 days ago. I will see dr Ziets next week to maybe schedule surgery. I am happy with the service so far.

As an employee of the medical center, I thought he was a high end provider, as mentioned above he rushes you out of the office to his office staff, I believe he allowed his newly graduated PA to do the surgery, I had my shoulder surfer a year and 3 months ago and still don't have 100% functionality in my arm. I went in with one pain and came out with another. I really do not believe my surgery was a success and will never go back to him. After being on a sling for 7 weeks and several post op visits in which I never saw him until my last visit when he stated I needed another surgery. While going to post op visits his PA was providing my care and advised that he was removing my stitches, when I got home I noticed he had over looked several of the stitches . I went back the next day and insisted the PA remove them. Today 15 months later I still suffer from a frozen shoulder and some different pain with less mobility. Dr. Zeits NO THANKS!!!

Very dissatisfactory care. Never was explained anything at given insight into treatment. And all was determined by his physician's assistant...saw him maybe for 5 minutes and he had not a clue on my case and was unfriendly.

Horrible uncaring doctor. I am 39 and i suffer with premature osteoarthritis. Every time i visited him he seemed uncaring and rushed me out to talk to his assistants. He reccommended anthroscopic surgery and would not even discuss any questions about surgery once again rushed me out to his assistant. I went for a second opinion to Nyu and met with Dr Young whom is also a professor of sports medicine. He immediately showed me conclusive medical research that states that surgery for my condition would not ne beneficial at all. He immediately started me on Euflexa shots and i finally have my life back. i am able to even workout. Thank You Dr Young you gave me my life back

It took a month to get a call back from doc's assistant with results of my shoulder MRI. After I could not reconcile recommendation given to me in the office (physical therapy) with those given over the phone (rest), I called back and waited another 2 weeks for a call back. His assistant called again and told me that in fact I need a surgery. WTF? I still have hope that the doc will actually take time to look at my MRI to give his diagnosis, instead of fully delegating all of this to his nonchalant assistant!

I had a small ambulatory surgery that Dr. Ziets performed on my finger (tumor) and I am very happy that I picked him for the surgery. He personally called me in the evening after the surgery and wouldn't get off the phone until he was sure that I was fine and really took his time to talk to me and answer any questions I had. He is an overall nice guy and his office and hospital staff was great as well. His track record on surgeries speaks for itself. Great surgeon and a great guy overall. I came for the follow up and people in the waiting room seemed to be very happy with him as well.
