Awful and unethical Dr. He will see you for 15 min and charge the insurance Co. for 1 hr. More concerned about the next visit than actually following up on recent health issues (which he is fully aware of). Over prescribed lipitor and I had to suffer the side effects then in a follow up visit wanted to increase it again. Incompetent is the word for this. He wants to impose his version of your "health plan" rather than agree it with the patient. If you do not agree with his plan he will dismiss you from his practice. He will want to do your complete bloodwork twice a year even when completely unnecessary. He will want to do a colonoscopy more frequently than the AMA guidelines. You have no say. I guess he gets a cut. I know someone who was dismissed for disagreeing with him. His office is an awful place to visit, you can sense how bad the energy is in all the employees. Tension in all workers there is more than evident. Kimmel never smiles and visits are unpleasant. Go somewhere else.

Dr. Kimmel is very helpful and never rushes a patient out of his office. It seems as if he wants to answer questions you didn't ask. When I was in the hospital he came every day (including weekends) to check on my progress. The doctor is straight and I am gay, but I have never felt this to be a hinderance. I feel this man truly cares. I like the fact that he asks questions to find out what is really going on, not just what I think is the issue. He cares, and he is incredibly intelligent. If you want a "total approach" to health care, this is the doctor for you!
