Don’t go see her if you have any kind of mental illness because she will not believe or listen to you. she’s continually brushed off suicidal thoughts and extreme anxiety and told me to come back when they got worse instead finding me a psychologist. After finding my own help I’m not diagnosed with severe PTSD and 2 other mental health disorders, that I’ve been suffering with for 5+ years. After I made her aware of this she refused to see me to get the documentation for my file, and told me my extreme symptoms of at least year long mold exposure was just my anxiety. She also tried to tell me she hadn’t seen me in a year even though she had saw me 5 months prior, and tried to tell me she lost documentation of mine when they moved clinics.

Dr. Schick has been my doctor as well as my mother’s. After a bad fall Dr. Schick brushed off my mother’s complaints of continued numbness and pain. After weeks of this I urged her to get a second opinion, and she was diagnosed with cancer (her fall was symptomatic). I do not trust Dr. Schick.

My sister went to this doctor she does not listen to what you have to say. she has yelled at her on several Occasions. And made her feel like she could not talk to her for her freely she eventually left. all doctors should have a nonbiased opinion and be there for their patients she was not

She needs serious direction when you are inquiring about an ailment. Started on blood pressure medication, persistent cough - had to be told to change the BP medication. Chronic migraines - once started on BP medications amazing how migraines are only once or twice a year. Diarrhea, gastrointestinal pain for several years - stated is was due to stress and perhaps some food substance. No further investigations ordered. Finally found out it was a milk allergy!!!!! She needs to learn assessment skills and get knowlegable before someones life is seriously endangered.

It is painfully obvious that this doctor is suffering from serious mental illness. It's dangerous for her to be in a position of power; she should not be practising. I hope she gets the help she needs. I especially recommend women avoid her. If you are looking to feel comfortable talking to someone about your sexual health, look elsewhere. Her views on sexuality are antiquated (not just traditional, but very antiquated), and she is forceful about her "morals". It's jarring to encounter such an attitude in the modern world.

I found Dr. Schick when I first moved to Edmonton--she was in Millwoods at the time, which was close to home, and she was a female GP actually accepting new patients, so I signed myself up. She commented at my first appointment that if I was going to be her patient, I should be her patient for everything, not flit around to medi-clinics and other doctors. I gave my word on that and held it far too long. She moved to Primrose in the west end, and I moved to the complete opposite end of the city. But I figured since I'm healthy and only generally needed to see her for my annual check-up, it wasn't a big deal. Then over time, I realized she always asked the same small-talk questions and didn't seem to remember me outside of my lab results. Often her small talk revolved around why I was still single, too, which bugs me. As if I'm not a complete person without a partner. And while she doesn't come across as flippant, per se, I never truly felt like I was being given fully individualized care; I was just another patient. She was professional, but not personable. I also quickly learned that unless I was the very first appointment at 10am, I would be in the waiting room 30-60mins on chairs that had long since lost their cushioning. As I've gotten older and have started to pay closer attention to different aspects of my health, I realized I wanted someone closer to home, who remembered me as a person in between visits, who could connect with me on a personal level to hear my whole story and consider all my questions, and who worked in a more timely manner.

I had a horrible experience with this doctor and changed immediately. I was improperly diagnosed with GERDS and wasn't properly tested. It took demanding to see a specialist to understand this. I am now trying to get off the PPI she presecribed me with little success. I was also diagnosed with SVT (arrhythmia heart condition) and she said it was "anxiety"; I am having ablation for this next month after finally seeing an arrhythmia specialist and cardiologist. She's an old, judgemental, rude doctor who shouldn't be practicing in my opinion. She also told me nothing was wrong with my ear when I went to her complaining about ear and sinus pain; I had a severe infection that required strong antibiotics to clear up. I suffered needlessly because of this doctor. I'll NEVER recommend her to anyone. Terrible bedside manner as well!

I've been her patient for longer then I care to admit. She's late for work, every single day. Have none of you scoring her high in punctuality, ever had a 10 AM appointment? She's cranky, grouchy, rude. So judgemental. Down right a terrible doctor. Never see her, for anything even remotely serious.
