Dr. Cookey is indeed the best! PERIOD. And yes, he is CHRONICALLY late. But the reason is no patient leaves until Dr. Cookey has done all the examination, questioning and research he feels is required. His business is your health. This should not be viewed akin to waiting to get your drivers license renewed. Knowledge and diligence are critical attributes, not efficiency.

Dr. Cookey is the BEST. Yes I agree with the comments that he is always running late, BUT he is worth the wait!!! You can also give Kim a call and she will let you know how far behind he is running so you do not have to show up and sit in the waiting room. You can go in with Kim's best suggestion on timing. Dr. Cookey is THE MOST Thorough doctor I have ever met. I have been seeing him for years and have never once left his office without the results, knowledge and next steps that I need. He is kind, caring and compassionate and has the most amazing bed side manner. I fear the day that Dr. Cookey retires and pray that some of the students that he has taught are half as good as he is.

Secretary is horrible..never returns calls. Dr. Cookey is a wonderful Dr. but the wait time is not good. Once in however, he takes his time. Very thoughtful person

Dr.Cookey's appointments always overrun and you never go in on time but you expect this to happen because he will spend as long with you as you need. He is a brilliant doctor and I would recommend him to anyone.

I find dr.ben cookey ONE of the best drs, he is kind and caring gets to the bottom of the problem,does tests ,follow ups, exsplains your tests .

It was a pleasure seeing Dr.Cookey. I did wait for a long time but after seeing other Dr.s for years on end, he was the only Doctor who found out what was wrong and explained the reasons to me.

Dr. Cookey is one of the most compassionate and caring doctors that I have met. He thoroughly explains things, will give you the time needed to discuss your diagnosis or tests that he wants to perform. I believe he is overworked, has a patient caseload far in excess of national averages for other doctors in his same field, yet he truly cares about his patients and will often still be at work many hours after his regular office hours closes. While in hospital, he was making rounds at midnight, just to make sure that his patients got seen to. True, the office visit waits will often get behind by 2 to 3 hours, it is the tradeoff of being able to see a good knowledgeable doctor who looks after his patients. Other than the wait time at the office visits, he is an A+++ doctor in skill, knowledege, and doctor to patient bedside manner. I often wonder how little time he has left over to spend with family, as this man is that dedicated to the medical profession and his patients.
