Choosing Kirsten as our paediatrician was the worst and most detrimental decision I have ever made, especially as a new mom.
During my sons 6 week check up I mentioned that I suspected a lip tie and our breastfeeding journey was struggling because of it. He was also dealing with extreme colic and silent reflux. She neglected to look in his mouth, or refer me to a dental professional but rather told me that lips ties are a “fad” and they’re “over-diagnosed”. She told me that colic is an unfortunate waiting game and offered a hypo-allergenic formula. Being a first time mom and putting my trust in her, I believed her. I also noticed that the back of my sons head had a large bump and wondered if something was wrong. She told me to keep him off his back and get a special pillow. Again, trusting her as a professional, I left it at that.
Fast forward a month, the bump was still there, his reflux was severe, and the colic continued.

I (as the parent!) demanded that we get sent for an X-ray of his head. Turns out he had Sagittal Synostosis and luckily I caught it while he was still young enough for a lighter surgery option.

I forever feel like my first time as a mom has been robbed from me. I never had the opportunity to follow my dreams and breastfeed, I had to diagnose ALL of my sons ailments and I am now, a year later, dealing with a lip tie that could have been fixed when he was a newborn.

Please please please, find yourself a different paediatrician. The amount of neglect and lack of care that we received is something I hope no one else ever has to go through.

absolutely no knowledge of my daughters condition. After watching her on video tonight and having spoke with her 2 weeks ago, I decided to leave feedback
I'm not the only one who is disgraced by her incompetence. My child has a specialist in London but due to covid we weren't able to get an appointment, so I took one with This doctor, having said that, we still had a lengthy wait, to get no answers whatsoever.

Blaine you ruined my life. Misdiagnosed & Neglected serious conditions while pushing strong, psychiatric medications on a 11 year old.
You made my life Hell. I only wish future children won't lose their childhood & future from this 'doctor in name only'

She deserves worse than I could give her. Said the correct diagnosis was "impossible" only for a competent physician to lead a lifesaving treatment. Disgraceful.

Amazing doctor, there is no better pediatrician in Stratford. Dr. Blaine can seem a little rushed during appointments, but she makes sure that questions and concerns are answered. Dr Blaine was the only doctor who took my mother's concern that I have ADHD seriously and was willing to trial ADHD medication, which has turned out to be a life changer in that my school performance and social relationships have improved dramatically since I'm not as impulsive or hyper and can focus. Dr. Blaine also was the only doctor to realize that I didn't have Celiac Disease even though a gastroenterologist said I did, which meant I was able to eat real delicious food.

Not helpful whatsoever. Rather than do her job, all she ever seems to do is fill out a form to prescribe medication. She ended up prescribing my daughter medication for adhd, which we later found out she did not have. My child had become a zombie during that time, and had also become very sick as the dosage was far too strong and completely suppressed her appetite. I will never take my child to this doctor again. Absolutely outraged!

She diagnosed my son 2 years ago with ADHD and all she has done is push medication on us for him she hasnt even really helped him all that much. Recently he was turned down for the Disability Tax Credit due to forms being filled out wrong and she had recieved them back last year and only sent them in Dec, her staff is rude and they dont deliver messages especially if its important, she takes forever to contact you back and alot of parents i know also refuse to go to her anymore as well

Although her staff is very rude and you do have to wait a while in the office for your appt I think she did a good job assessing my child.. she is thorough and I do trust her knowledge and opinions!!
