If you have thousands of dollars to spend on unproven tests not covered by insurance, then this is your guy. If not, I'd advise staying away. Office is dirty and reeks of mold. The Dr is old-school and gets insulted if you ask questions. He will pressure you to get allergy shots even when you don't suffer from environmental allergy systems. Two tests and $2,000 later, I learned my lesson the hard way, but I can at least warn others!

Dr. Baptist did nothing short of save my kid from a life of dysfunction! The news that his autoimmune system was so overwhelmed was shocking. Thankfully Dr. B is thorough; looks at a complete biological assessment rather than one or two "snapshot" tests while our kids flail untreated. Yes, it is difficult to adjust to a rotation diet while the healing takes place. Yes, there are a LOT of tests (ALL of them medically approved by our insurance--hardly "quackery"). He has a Ph.D (biochemistry) and tests the whole body; whether there are deficiencies of essential minerals, excesses of metals, cell-membrane permeability, B-12 deficiencies--these things MATTER and are better treated than left to exacerbate. This is not a program for complacent patients or parents. It's for those motivated to heal. My kid is healed, functional, no school supports, has a close circle of friends. We're one of a big group from St Louis who have gone to Dr. B over the decades with amazing results! Worth it!

Be cautious. DO not get skin testing done as it is unreliable. Get lab work. Dr. Baptist wanted us to put down our dog. As our child was having no signs of allergies so we had the lab work drawn. Our son was not allergic to his dog. This dog had done more for him socially than many other things. We have not found Dr. Baptist staff to be very professional. They have overcharged us repeatedly. The nursing staff has turned over frequently and at one time the receptionist was giving the allergy shots. If you live locally check with the locals on his reputation.

Dr. Baptist is the only physician who has been able to help my extremely ill children. He will get to the root of the problem and goes into great detail explaining test results. Yes, there is a lot of testing that is not "typically" done. It works. He will not put his patients on drugs to mask symptoms. He, instead, uncovers the resons for the symptoms and treats those reasons. He is brilliant, and we are grateful. We travel over 4 hours to see him, and many others come from much farther away. No hocus pocus, just real science. A rare, brilliant physician.

Our son has gone from having severe tics to barely any. His sensory issues have decreased, he sleeps better, his behavior has improved. Thank God for Dr. Baptist. If it weren't for him, our 3 yr. old would be heavily medicated. The treatment is a lot of work, but so worth it! Yes, there is testing involved. However, I would rather run tests to find the causes than just be given medicine for a symptom.

After allergy testing at the local children's hospital we were fortunate to find Dr. Baptist. Local children's hospital didn't detect any food or pollen allergies although my child required two allergy meds year round. Dr. Baptist did detailed testing and discovered numerous allergies & intolerances. Once my child started allergy shots & eliminated foods from the diet the chronic sinus problems disappeared. He is direct and if you choose not to follow his suggestions he won't candy-coat over it. We haven't done everything exactly as he recommends but we've easily managed to maintain our relationship and have seen great improvements in our child. Insurance covered the testing. Dr. Baptist has spent a lot of time listening to my concerns.

We were so thankful for someone that was actually interested in treating my son's allergies. While he did order many labs for other imbalances, they proved to be necessary as many of them were abnormal and needed to be addressed. Also, our insurance covered all but one of the tests (the hair sample). None of our other health care providers had even wanted to address these issues.

Any patient should know that Dr. Baptist is not a Board Certified Allergist. He claims to be an allergist, but has no formal training in an accredited program. His methods are extremely expensive, inaccurate, and harmful. Please People...see a Board Certified Allergist for your and your children's care. This guy is a complete quack and very, very dangerous!!!
