Dr. Meckling is hands down the best neurologist I have ever been treated by. He is thorough and seems like he actually cares to getting down to the root cause of the issue. He has excellent bedside manner which is pretty rare to find these days. I know I am in good hands with him and thankful I was referred. His team is great and always a pleasure to deal with as well.

Dr. Meckling is superb. I've had i n person and virtual. I won't go into a long long story. He diagnosed a condition five other doctors failed to see.

Truly blinded by his own arrogance...In September 2020 I had a pop in my head that immediately caused the most excruciating headache and symptoms I've ever experienced. My symptoms include my entire left side of face going completely numb aswell as my right arm, a clear and sometimes bloody fluid leaking out my ears, buzzing around my face and skull, extreme pressure around eyes and forehead, loss smell and taste, nausea, dizziness, vomiting, If I work my cardiovascular system for even 4 minutes all symptoms seriously intensifying until my vision narrows and I collapse and lose consciousness.( I am very active and a two time international champion in martial arts) I have been waiting over 10 months to get this addressed and my symptoms are worsening in intensity.. dr.meckling refused to see me in person due to covid. When I had a Skype appointment with him he got very upset after I corrected him after he told me he reviewed my mra( ive never had a mra for my head and have had 2 drs confirm this since I spoke with him) he started conducting himself very unprofessionally after I simply just tried letting him know a mra hadn't been done. He stated he thoroughly inspected my images but never mentioned the black mass found on my cta . I realized he was just retelling what the radiologists reported in thier reports. I actually had one of my recovery specialists that im seeing after a car accident point it out. Before speaking to Dr.meckling sadly my 2yr old daughter just got diagnosed with addisons disease in march and I was able to show the image to the neurologist who was treating her and was advised to seek immediate medical attention as that mass was not supposed to be there. Before correcting him about the mra Dr.Meckling told me he had no idea why I was experiencing these symptoms as they are not tied to any head injury hes aware of....seriously??? He refused to help me identify whats going on and said "you don't expect me to diagnose this for you do you"? I then asked him if we could circle back to the basics and just get a referral to see a different specialist regarding my condition. He refused to refer me to anyone. After this I said I have been suffering for 10 months and need to find a doctor that will help me...he then proceeded to hang up on me immediately. To make matters worse he made a report that didn't mention a single symptom I described to him and advised that no further tests or imaging should be conducted...which has now made it way harder for me to actually get the medical attention I need. I've never been afraid of passing on but now that I have a family I want to be here for them as long as possible and truly am worried that I won't be if this injury is not addressed soon. Right now Its in God's hands and I won't ever give up trying to get this properly diagnosed. I just hope I can find a doctor that will give me the proper medical care I need soon because this is absolute agony. I would not recommend dr.meckling to anyone. I emailed him and requested he make a second report that isn't misleading and actually addresses's my symptoms rather than trying to persuade other doctors not to help me. I will be reporting his conduct to the college of physicians in hopes that they address his serious lack of professionalism and serious neglect and hopefully he will never treat another patient like this ever again....

It took me over a year to get into see him, but it was worth it because he was able to help me with my migraines which I have been having since I was 13 or so. It took one appointment to have him help with my family doctor's ideas of what we can do moving forward to help me and it has now been almost 5 months since I have had a full blown migraine and I am very happy. I had gone into this thinking I would be told to suck it up and I actually got a solution to help me not be in pain for the rest of my life.

Two hours before my appointment I received a call from the receptionist saying Dr. Meckling is refusing his service's to me, due to my medical conditions along side with my doctors note exempting me from being able to wear a mask. When this was booked I told them about my exemption and they told me I had to bring my note in for their recorded. I have been waiting a year for this appointment to just end up being cancelled. When I have moved my schedule around to have this appointment done today.

I had a zoom appointment with Dr. Meckling. After I presented my issue he told me that he has no idea what’s wrong with me. He didn’t dig deeper, he didn’t ordered any tests , he didn’t had any interest what so ever to find an answer for my issue. He did prescribe a medication for me to try it. A medication for the issue what he didn’t know what it is!!! I would not recommend him to anyone.

I was told to wait outside and they would call me to come up at my appointment time. I made sure I was early by a good 20 minutes as I waited 10 months for this appointment. I had other issues I assumed related to possibly MS or not, I didn’t know, that were worsening but didn’t want to take a chance going anywhere else with the risk of covid, so I eagerly awaited for my appointment. Ten minutes into my appointment I didn’t get a call, waiting at their doors so I called them. I was very rudely told I was late and someone else was now with dr Meckling. What? I did what I thought I had been told to keep others safe and I/we clearly miscommunicated. I was sternly told “you are late”, he will not see you. I was walking into the building by this time and arrived at the desk where the office assistant was on the other end. I was told dr meckling was now with another patient and when I asked if I could wait she very rudely said no “you are late”. It won’t be today. I literally shed tears. I had never been treated so rudely, no compassion, no empathy no kindness. Certainly no Dr Bonnie influence there. I explained to her what it takes for me to get to an appointment and how difficult some events like that are and she had no empathy. I was 20 minutes early, waiting downstairs with a mask on. I guess my long awaited appointment that was everything to me was just another number to them. I left in tears. Was a horrible experience. They had no idea how awful I felt.
I will never return, nor recommend this dr and sadly, I never met him. Only the face of his practice, his assistant, and that was a horrible experience.

Sorry Dr. Meckling but I have not felt like you have any support at all through my journey. When I asked what I could do for pain, you told me that you’ve never heard of people having a lot of pain with ms. Also, after explaining to you that the Golden Life care home I lived in and had cut off my Physio, you would not stand up for me and tell them how desperately it was needed. My last appointment with you in the spring of 2020, I received no answers to any of my questions, and basically ended up speaking of what I felt should be done, and you just looked at me and said sure. I haven’t found this to be very helpful at all. I highly recommend trying the Vancouver ms clinic for the Calgary clinic
