Dr. Denk is an incredible surgeon. He is very caring and thorough. I have had three surgeries by him and each time he was wonderful. His staff is very accommodating and caring. They follow up and check on their patients.

Do not waste your time with this doctor!
I have been a patient for two and a half years and I have been planning on having surgery as soon as I had full coverage. In Dec 2021, I spoke with the insurance authorization specialist @ Dr Denk's office and she told me to get specific insurance that they see approves this particular surgery on a regular basis. So I did. But now they are saying that I am out of network?!?!! This is my life they are playing with! After finding out they screwed up, I tried reaching out to the doctor but I can't even get a call back (despite being diagnosed with something I need surgery for). If I weren't so driven to get my health back on track- this could have derailed my good health for ANOTHER YEAR!🙄 If for nothing else, you would think Dr Denk would be upset that his long-time patient is finally ready and able to pony up and spend $150,000 on the surgery he has recommended for years, but due to his incompetent and rude office staff, I am taking my business elsewhere.🤔

It would be nice if doctors would staff their offices with people who realize that they are there to help us get better, rather than hinder that process.

Arrogant uncaring Dr. Performed an unnecessary surgery which almost cost me my life.I was misdiagnosed By him and it cost me and my family a lot of heart aches.He could not have cared less.

Dr. Denk performed lap band surgery on me a few months ago as well as other tests (colonoscopy, etc.). I was very pleased with his professionalism, skills, bedside manner, ease of communicating with him, follow-up, office staff, etc. I'd recommend him highly to anyone!
Dr. Denk performed a lap band surgery on me several months ago and he was great! He was professional, excellent surgical skills (minimal scars, very little pain), patient, very easy to communicate with him, easy follow-up, great office staff! I'd highly recommend him to anyone! He's a great doctor and a really nice guy! (I can't imagine Dr. Denk behaving in the manner described in the 3/8/12 review/comment as I've always found Dr. D. and his staff to be as kind and accommodating as possible. Too bad they didn't follow through with the appointment as I'm certain that they'd have been more than pleased!).

IN RESPONSE TO NEGATIVE COMMENT FROM 2012: I am also a patient of Dr. Denk and I think I know exactly what happened. In the Naples office they go to lunch I think until 1pm because I am never able to make an appointment during that time. I'm guessing they were just going to eat and needed to lock the office while everyone was gone. Dr. Denk is a super nice guy and probably just needed to grab some food like everyone else. Who likes working through lunch? Its unfortunate your perspective of the situation and assumption of the worst jaded your experience. You should have stuck it out - Dr. Denk is the best!

Dr. Denk really listens! Its so hard to find a gi doctor that doesn't just try to manage your problem. Dr. Denk actually took the time and effort to correctly diagnose and treat my problem. Amazing guy!!

After being treated for GERD for 12 years my symptoms became so sever, my gastro. doctor recommended fundoplication surgery. I was frightened by the rarity of this type of surgery .After many extensive tests and thorough research by Dr.Denk he prescribed a medication .His ability to delve deeper into my case and his knowledge in the field of gastrointestinal diseases has enabled me to live without pain & discomfort and if I do need this surgery later on, I feel confident Dr.Denk will perform this surgery in the most advanced & skilled way available today .

Dr Denk and his staff were not only professional and caring but went over and beyond our expectations. Dr Denk is very knowledgable and is especially good at diagnosing unusual illnesses/problems. He is an excellent surgeon and is very well respected in the hospital! I'd recommend him to everyone who needs GI help or surgery!

Dr. Denk to be nice was a very unpleaszent person who I think needs a bit of practice with his manners! I made an appointment only to have them call me and reschedule the appointment and then get offended because I showed up a half hour early. Dr. Denk started whispering to his Staff that I should be made to leave the office until my appoinmtne time at which point I spoke up and asked if they wated me to leave. The lady was embarrased for me and said that they were going to step out so I need to leave and come back at exactly 1:30. I never went back and have no intention of ever going back. I am not doing the Dr. a favor by being his patient not the other way around. There are a million Dr's so if Dr. Denk wants to act like an a** then I have no problem finding another Dr.
