This doctor seems to have a stopwatch in his pocket to provide glib responses to medical concerns. He will be sued one day for not properly addressing patient concerns. There is more to the practice of medicine than beating the clock.
If you know what you want and your concern is simple, he is great. If your concern takes more than a cursory glance, this is not the doctor for you, and you will be put in some danger. Friendliness and speed are not enough, please take the time to properly address problems.

I went in to see Dr Botha with a serious concern. He did not even let me finish my sentence before he dismissed me as a referral and sent me on my way. His back was to me the whole time, looking at the screen. I took time off work, for less than three minutes with him. I will not be seeing him again.

Always has time to thoroughly answer questions and is amazing with the kids. We are so lucky to have become patients of his. Girls at the front desk are professional and welcoming.

His punctuality is great, but that's probably because he's often rushing you out the door. He does not take the time to listen and I spend most of the appointment talking to his back side as he is looking at the computer screen. I feel like he does not take the time to ask questions or get to the root cause. He does not remember things I have told him before, nor does he write anything down or take notes. I have gone back to him on several occasions for a recurring illness and he always gives me the same diagnosis and treatment that does not work or resolve the issue. He has prescribed medication for me in someone else's name (by accident) but thank goodness my pharmacist caught it. He has also prescribed medication that I feel does not mesh well for other current conditions (example: I have low blood pressure, overactive bladder, issues with dehydration and dizziness - prescription= a diuretic for high blood pressure (which would lower my already low blood pressure), dehydrate me, and cause more dizziness. I often feel more frustrated leaving than when I came. I often have to beg for referrals and then follow up to make sure the referral was actually put through. His front staff are really great and I never have a problem getting in to see him. I like him as a person, just not as a doctor. I feel bad writing this review but I take my health very seriously and will be looking for a new doctor. He is a wonderful man, just not a great doctor.

Have been seeing Dr. Botha since about day one. He is a superb diagnostic person with a great deal of knowledge. He spends time with me when needed and always get me in on time. Great personality.

Very professional and friendly, staff always helpful and can often get in same day if urgent plus there is walk-in which is very efficient. Dr. Botha is very thorough...a real doctor who cares and is diligent!
