Excellent Dr. As people say he doesn't waste his time or yours. He is punctional, gets done what needs to get done to get you better and seems knowledgeable. I had an accident on a Sunday, saw a physio on Monday, called his office Tuesday morning and walked out before noon with a script for an MRI, a script for anti inflammitories and a script for a brace so my insurance would pay for it. The comments people make about him seeming to mock them or not care are just misinterpreting his sense of humour. I personally find him funny and caring, and like others have said, if your priority is having your hand held and not curing what ails you then go elsewhere. And one last thing, can't say enough great things about his staff, helpful, friendly, efficient...........

I saw Dr Advent at the Walk in Clinic yesterday. I really liked him and his manner. I feel he tells it like it is - from one human being to another rather than from an expert to a lesser human being - what he was prescribing and why and how it would work. No fake flattery which some people might call no bedside manner. I prefer honesty and knowledge to flattery. He is a real human being and there aren't a lot of those around. If I didn't have a doc I would certainly want him to be mine! Thanks Dr. Advent!

I have been a patient of Dr Advent for over ten years. He has always been empathetic and compassionate. His care and kindness, to address a serious issue during holiday season, was most professional. I would highly recommend him. Also, the staff have been top-notch and instrumental in Dr Advents success. Thank you to all who work in the office!

Great doctor and always on time but don't ever go to another doctor for a second opinion. Our 5 year old had be coughing for months and after being told there is nothing to worry about my wife and I opted for a second opinion. When we went to the new doctor we were asked to fill out papers so the new doctor would see our daughter. Seemed standard but Advent considers this as you dropping him as a family doctor and refuses to see you. So as I said good doctor but don't ever go to another doctor for a second opinion as he will drop you as soon as her finds out. Not at all understanding of our concern for a second opinion and I guess he just showed his true colors

I have seen Dr. Advent at the walkin clinic on two separate occasions. Found him caring, knowledgeable and empathic. I liked his sense of humor. when he came into the exam room I was in tear because of the pain and he took the time to listen to me blubber and took efforts to cheer me up. He is extremely clear on what he wanted me to do ( I had a pinched nerve) and explained how my body would react to the medications he prescribed. I prefer his bedside manner and prefer to have his dry, quirky sense of humor than another doctor that blows me off and pretends to care. Thank you Dr. Advent.

I love Dr. Advent and the whole staff. Yes... he is a funny man with a sarcastic humour... but he is a GREAT doctor. He NEVER over books, he see's you in a rush if you need him to, he tells you like it is. He DOES NOT judge you and keeps an open mind. Every doctor is bound to make mistakes... I just think that when Dr. Advent makes one, people think he's horrible because of his humour. But if he was a happy non-sarcastic person making a mistake... it would be no big deal. Honestly.... if you want a doctor who looks at your "ugliness" with a medical eye... He's the one for you. If you want a friend to tell your life story to... keep looking. :)

Personally I like Dr Advent. He's got a dry sense of humour; so I suppose if you don't have one, you would find his insulting. He's never overbooked like others have indicated. My whole family has him as a doctor and wouldn't change. He's never misdiagnosed a single thing, has sent me to specialists on a as need basis for ligitimate reasons not just to pawn you off. Walk in clinics are scary you wait for hours and myself and my daughter have been severely misdiagnosed. I'd take a sarcastic doctor over that any day!

I have had the worst experience with this Dr. ever!!! I am commenting on here from an experience 5 years ago. I went to see him for an issue for which he smugly told me that I had an eating disorder based on NO EVIDENCE..commented to me that "we have to fatten you up to get you married, so you can pay your own grocery bill, not that you would have one...since you don't eat!" THIS IS WHAT HE SAID when I went to him for amenhorrhea. I ended up going to another doctor who was MUCH more helpful. I have since had no problems, and I never had an eating disorder in the first place!! He quickly concluded a FALSE diagnosis and was TOTALLY UNHELPFUL- I left his office w/o any intervention, no further investigation from himself, and just as badly, feeling humiliated and CRYING as a 20yr old woman without any further medical help. I have NEVER returned and would tell ANYONE he is not worth going to. How does he stay in practice?!!

My daughter is now lying in a catatonic state in the hospital . This dr seems to think it is ok to keep giving out very strong medications with out any questions asked . Being sarcastic is nothing compared to being incompetence that endangers ones life . I think he should be investigated . SOON !
