I am so glad that I am not the only one that felt this way about dr davine, I was suffering from depression , anxiety and feeling lost. I wated months to see this dr hoping to learn some strategies and tools to feel better. hes seems impatient and in a hurry, I though that since it was a friday and my appt was at 430 that his impatience was due to hisd outside life..... He was impersonal asked me if " the TV talked to me " totally unrelated to my depression...... cold and indifferent and impatient. I felt that I was imposing on him. he has no bedside manner! I felt worse after seeing him and more hopeless.... He told me to " get a job" WTF? That is not something that you say to someone in a state of crises!I am no professional But really . This guy is a first Class **** !!!! ill say it again ****!!! avoid him, He has made me lose faith in the mental health scene! take care my fellow mental cases! you are beautifula and fabulous! dont let this quaCK **** U UP!

I just want to say to everyone here that I know what a healthy relationship with a psychiatrist is like. It involves collaboration. Dr. Davine lacks the ability to collaborate with his patients which makes us feel as though we are just there for his ideas on how we should be treated. When he tried to hike all my meds up to their maximum limit after few appointments i realized that i was in an unhealthy situation. I have realized over the last year of being fearful about what HIS next idea for treatment is, that I deserve better. I have decided that NO psychiatrist is better than being treated by someone who cannot connect and develop a rapport with his patients. Seek another psychiatrist if you feel your care is suffering.

I had a very similar experience to the ones listed below. He just fires questions at you, like you're supposed to fit into some sort of a "box". If you take time to think of the answer he gets edgy, and will even try to give you the answer himself. He doesn't actually care about how you feel it seems. I really wish I could type examples here of what I've been going through, but I still have to see him and were I to be open, I fear my care would suffer if he ever read it.

Mediocre doctor. I had to wait months to see him, despite going through crisis and hospitalization. He wants very specific answers to his questions, you can almost see him ticking off boxes. It's like being interviewed by the DSM-IV. If you don't fit his "profile" of what he thinks, he ignores what you tell him. Did not make me feel welcome, barely looks you in the eye, always scribbling down notes. Seemed unconcerned when I told him I almost completed my plan to kill myself. Simply added another medication and told me to talk about my feelings with a counsellor. Follow up visit even shorter, less than fifteen minutes. Asked if I was feeling better, and when I answered yes, basically shoved me out the door. I would not recommend this doctor if you have a choice.

This guy is nuts. He threatens, leans in too close and and does not listen. He asks questions and if i took a second or two to answer, he would get angry and slam things around! I wish I had video-taped it! It was unbelievable!
