You don't appreciate what you have until it is gone. Dr. Wood is an excellent doctor. Yes she was straight to the point but I and my family appreciated that about her. I hope she is enjoying retirement and should know she is missed.

Dr Wood retired and even though I finally was allocated a new family Dr, I miss her so much. I knew I could trust what she said and I wish she hadnt retired

We've been seeing Dr Wood for over 20 yrs. She has helped our family through hard times. She saved my life more than once. She's right to the point and you do not need to tell her how to do her job. She is very knowledgeable and caring. We are very grateful to her.

I was her patient for a few years only because I could not find another doctor. She is rude, sarcastic and has a dreadful bedside manner. I have heard her ranting at a patient on the phone and berating her nurse a few times. She also seems to have a problem with patients who have health insurance through government occupations using the services offered and said to me "No wonder their premiums increase" when I asked for a prescription to cover one of the services offered. She also makes comments about how much specialists make. Why then does she not become one? I am glad that I no longer have to endure another appointment in her office.

I've been seeing her for over 30 years and can't believe the negative comments! She is a great doctor to my family. Yes she is strict and tells it like it is but she doesn't waste time and is always prompt. I have friends that wait hours for their appointments that they waited weeks to get!

When my husband & I moved to Simcoe County from TO in 1997 Dr. Wood took us on as new patients. We have dealt with serious medical issues, losing my immediate family in the same month of the same year, seeing us through 2 pregnancies & our 2 sons once they were born. No issues with referrals to OBGYN, Nephrologists, pediatricians, etc. issuing scripts WHEN NEEDED & listening when you have real valid questions or concerns. Yes she is abrupt, can be rude, short & does speak her mind. So really people buck up, build a back bone. She was not your friend or spouse or God; she is a physician. Your mental & physical health is all you have, so be glad that you had the experience of a no nonsense doctor that is expeditious in the handling of her patients & treatments. So for those of you that still see Dr. Wood, good for you; your in good hands. For the rest of you that left .... maybe that was her way of weeding you out! FYI She does smile!

I know that people find Dr. Wood rather gruff at times, but she is one hell of a great Doctor. I am very thankful to her for the medical treatment and advice she has provided myself and my family. Let's face it, if your Doctor helps you get better, who cares what their personality is like.

I've been going to Dr. Wood since I was born I am in my early 20's I find her to be very Rude, Very short, EXTREMELY insenative, she yells at her poor receptionest all the time in front of patients not like it is acceptable either way. I am never satisfied when I leave her office, and she has put me in tears a few times! I am currently looking for a new doctor I would NOT reccomend her to anyone!!! My brother and father who are her patients refuse to see her, and my mother switched doctors!!!

I stopped seeing this doctor a few years ago. While she is as knowledgeable as a doctor should be considering she attended medical school, I found Dr. Wood to be extremely insensative and impatient. She always got very short with me if I had something other than one issue to discuss with her. I've been around when she shouted at her secretary too.
