On 9/24/14, Marie Dobyns' PA diagnosed "Kathy's" back ache as a skin problem, recommending a dermatologist. She was asked to pay $200. We have a $3000 deductable with Aetna, and util then weren't asked for $ pending a direct Aetna bill. "Challenging Dr. Dobyn's staff on this, I asked, "What does our deductable have to do with paying $200 on Aetna's $72 (netotiated) fee?" "You have not met your deductable", the woman repeated said with an obvious edge. Speaking with her manager and repeatedly hearing the same montra, I gave up in 15 minutes. At the Dermatologist, we were assured us skin was not the problem. More back pain that weekend had us at Patient First in Columbia. She got a physical and was assured that nothing serious was up. Kathy returned to Dr. Dobyns personally on 9/30/14. She recommended an MRI. She surrendered another $100. During that visit, Dr Dobyns staff approached her, saying rudely that her husband, "Yelled at them." I just think they were suprised that anyone would insist on a justification. The totals billed: 1st visit: $485. Our real cost $205.70. 2nd visit: $450. Our real cost: $144 (Aetna paid $112, we probably me the deductable). We have appealed these amounts to Aetna. Marie Dobyns claims visit #1 was "prolonged", justifying that high cost. After paying $300, we are still short of the total. We got a correct diagnosis elswhere.

Dr Dobyns is a very good doctor but her staff is very rude and unprofessional. ... they are loud and talk trash where the patients can hear their conversation.... in the past I have had trouble getting a refill on a prescription.... I called several times and my pharmacy even faxed a request to the doctors office and it to was ignored..... I wish Dr Dobyns could see the issues with her staff.

Dr. Dobyns is a very good doctor, but has a staff that's very unprofessional and could care less about the patients or their needs. They are the ones that's just about their paychecks

It appears that Dr. Dobyns is not the doctor she used to be. She is only about the money now. She had me having studies that were unnecessary just to get money. She also uses her disability to get attention from her patients. Her management staff is very rude and unprofessional.

Dr. Dobyns is an amazing doctor. She is able to pinpoint illnesses with incredible accuracy. I particularly like how she remembers my medical issues without having to refer to my chart. She is very personable and very smart.

The doctor is okay but the staff are terrible, rude and very unhelpful. They lose test results. Very disorganized office.

After numerous attempts to call in and get a prescription filled, I was met with rude and inattentive staff at the front desk. I was at the pharmacy when they faxed my rx request, and received confirmation that it was received. I called to follow up with the Doctors office, they claimed they never received it. It took the pharmacy calling and speaking with the doctor to get it filled. Every appointment I have waited at least 45 minutes to be seen. Although Dr. Dobyns is my listed doctor I never ever saw her always saw PA Meade. Very distant bedside manner, not the least bit helpful or informative. Subsequently I have left that doctor.

Doctor Dobyns has been our family physician for my wife and I and our two sons for the last 30 years. She and her two colleagues, Doctors Meade and Nieroda, have given us outstanding professional care for all our major and minor medical problems. She is down to earth, sensitive to our needs, and strives to help us understand the length and breath of our medical issues and treatment options. I would highly recommend her to anyone who may be seeking a dedicated, caring, and professional family physician.

Getting Rx's refilled is a nightmare. Had called for 4 days straight, spent the weekend without my meds and now it's Monday and still no call. Pharmace had also faxed her 4 times. Very inconsiderate. Have found a new doctor.
