This doctor is probably one of the best sask has ever had, however what I found to be bad was his one rude secretary but it is a minor thing since she is not the surgeon but it is a huge turn off for the patient

Wow...am I happy now to discover this site, to read the posted comments re Dr Hayes and by them to be encouraged to hesitate no longer before I see him regarding my chronic problem. Seen by him several times in my room on the Surgical floor of St Pauls Hospital, my brain was addled by morphine, but I believe Dr Hayes suggested I make an appointment to be seen at his office following my discharge. I do remember him to be kindly and resasuring, but frankly until reading his ratings on this webpage, the prospect of surgery scared the hell out of me! So now, let me thank both RateMDs and all Dr Paul Hayes' patients who commented before me, for the optimism I feel today....Yes, thank you all and wish me luck!

He saw me the day after I was refered from the ER and correctly diagnosed and treated me that day. Provided me with free samples of a very expensive drug because my plan would not cover it.

This is a great surgeon, with an extremely gentle and friendly manner. I cannot say enough about him, in just one paragraph. He was excellent in applying the best techniques possible to heal me. If you are referred to him, you're very lucky, because he was the best surgeon I've been to. If any similar medical complications arise in the future, he's the specialist I'm going to try to see. Please take my word for it, as I had such a huge medical problem, and he made everything heal fast, painless, and he was never ignorant or rude..only the friendliest, most explaining doctor. I wish every doctor was like him.

An excellent surgeon. He listened to my allergies and used appropriate tape(something my previous surgeon had ignored). He told me what had to be done, step by step, and let me ask lots of questions. He is very kind and gentle, and learned. One of the best!

WHEN HE DID HIS CHECK HE WAS VERY GOOD AT TELLING ME EVERYTHING THAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN. A VERY GOOD DOCTOR.
