I was operated on with a colonoscopy while I was still awake, I've never had this happen before and he ended up causing me a ton of a pain internally. I have a long family history of cancer and the colonoscopy should've been routine, yet he ran through the procedure as quickly as possible with my concerns thrown to the wind, I literally had to complain mid surgery that I was suffering greatly before i was finally put unconscious, I would never use recommend this person to anyone and I will take more time before I decide to get help through a grant program that offers any type of help covering the cost of care.

Great experience with Dr. Amjad N, Awan and his clinic. He is extremely thorough and explains everything very clearly, received very good patient care. He was very helpful in diagnosing my IBS issue and providing me with appropriate medication that allow my problem to heal quickly.  Dr. Awan and the staff are one of the best Gastrointestinal Clinics I've been to. I am very happy and pleased with his reception staff and the full team members.
I also like to give a special thanks to his team member Amber Törnblom for her outstanding support and care whenever needed.
I highly recommend Dr. Amjad N, Awan as an excellent gastroenterology specialist and his excellent staff.

I have used this doctor twice and my husband once. There isn't another doctor I have uncounted with his skill, knowledge, and concern.. If anyone thought different - maybe it
is more about them than his professional performance. He has saved several people lives
that I know. He was a God sent.

My daughter saw Dr Awan early July ( after a month wait) at Waxahachie office for recurring and chronic nausea vomiting stomach pain and weight loss and unable to eat more than a bite or two of food at a time and family history of Chrohn's . He ordered a colonoscopy for late July. After procedure just said no Chrohn's see you in a month. Then get letter that weekend he is closing practice and moving to Denton. My daughter was going back to college in late August so we had less than a month the to get in to see a new dr. Saw new dr. He was upset that no biopsies were done and said the colonoscopy did show inflamation. He scheduled a upper endoscopy and biopsies and afterwards said we need more test because her stomach is in major distress and seems that she is not absorbing nutrients and is basically starving since she is unable to eat. Her new dr has order several more test and I pray we get answers. Very angry Dr Awan didn't seem concern for her health since he was closing his practice in or area.

Thank God Dr. Awan has left the bulding in Denton, Texas. His care and concern as well as communication skills are the worst I have encountered in my entire life. Pity on North Carolina where he has now set up a practice. Dr. Disani from Beaumont has purchased his practice and has quite a negative impact to overcome as Dr. Awan still pops up when you google and he appears to still be in Texas. Dr. Disani is such a joy to deal with in my health concerns and I hope others will give her a try.

I've never seen this MD but my father has been a patient here for 3 years. It has been 3 years of constant misunderstandings. He'll be seeking another MD. Dr. Awans front office staff is not professional and really has no business handling patient care. It's unfortunate that physicians are not more particular when hiring help. As a previous office manager of a cancer center and ob/gyn office myself I can honestly say there is no way I would behave the way this staff did over a simple misunderstanding about insurance and scheduling. I contacted them to clear up the misunderstanding and June was extremely short and rude after realizing she'd overlooked a secondary insurance. She told me after I asked her why she was being so short and rude, "REALLY??! I don't have time for this!" And she hung up on me. I called back and spoke to the receptionist who was also very combative and defensive and told me if we didn't like the way they do their jobs then find another doctor. I'd say the front office staff is most likely overworked and unhappy at their prospective jobs and are at a point that they cannot keep their cool when discussing an issue. It was really bizarre. Definitely would steer clear if seeking quality patient care.

Office staff is Rude..receptionist and the nurse. I'm left confused why a question about medicines would be so 'annoying' to them. Nurse never called me back. I called again and was put on hold for 4 minutes and call was dropped into automated system. I thought it was odd and called back again and answering service picked up. I now realize they don't care about their patients and seem to be about the money. I should have known right off when they charged me $550.00 upfront before running bill through insurance.

Dr Awan is the best. He saved my husbands life. Went to several doctors that missed it and after 5 minutes if speaking to us he knew what he thought, he did the procedure and found cancer. If he had not found it my husband would have been dead in 6 months. Thank you Dr Awan and staff. We feel very blessed

Dr. Amjad Awan and his associates have cared for our entire family for a number of years, during which we have come to admire their skilled and dedicated professional care, and their consistent monitoring of each patient's special needs. My lifetime of diverticulosis and polyps put me at risk, and Dr. Awan guards my health closely, unlike less caring gastroenterologists. Our family is deeply grateful to this fine physician and his excellent staff.
