Dr. Sicard planned exploratory surgery until a question I asked made him realize no matter what he found, the ultimate outcome would be the same. Please think through the planned action of each possible outcome before planning surgery.

Gregorio A. Sicard performed a surgery on my father that went terribly wrong, along with a botched intubation procedure. Sicard tired to hide from our family a 2nd emergency surgery was performed until other VISITORS in the waiting room told us my dad was taken to surgery, at that point we had to demand to see Sicard. When we questioned Sicard about the surgeries he refused to speak with us only sending his residents (who act like him unfortunately!) and did not provide post-op care. Unless you consider a certified letter on Washington University letterhead from Sicard telling my dad to go elsewhere for care. Sicard came across as rude and made it clear he did not appreciate, nor wish to answer questions. The fact he outright refused to provide post-op care is apparent his professionalism as a medical doctor is seriously lacking. Needless to say, we promptly transferred my father out of the BJC Healthcare network once he stabilized. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.
